Her father is Shankar Dixit and Mother is Snehalata Dixit. She is a chitpawan Brahmin. She wanted to be microbiologist and took admission into Parle College. She is trained in Kathak. Maduri Dixit did his first film Abodh in the year 1984. At the starting she was did many supporting roles. Some of his hit films were Tezaab released in 1988, Ram Lakhan in 1989, Parinda in 1989, Tridev in 1989, Kishen Kanhaiya in 1990, Dil in 1990, Saajan in 1991, Beta in 1992 and Khalnayak released in 1993.
