Shahid Kapoor putting in efforts to learn Kannada on the sets of his next Actor Shahid Kapoor, who has been out-of-work since last one year, is nowadays busy shooting for his next film Phata Poster Nikla Hero, where he stars opposite Ileana D'Cruz. The film is directed by Rajkumar Santoshiand it is Shahid's first film after Teri Meri Kahaani, which released in the mid of this year. Currently the shooting of the film is going on in Mysore. Now the sources have learnt that Sasha has taken it up as a challenge to learn Kannada. Apparently, the actor overheard some unit hands talking in an unfamiliar language. On investigation, he found out it was Kannada and hence decided to learn the language. A source says, "Shahid is always looking to learn new things. When he heard some crewmembers speaking in an alien tongue, he wanted to know what it was. He was intrigued. He summoned them and wanted to know what language they were talking in." And now we hear that Shahid has already picked up a few basic words in the South Indian language. "He has even been interacting in Kannada with a few locals and unit members. He listens to their pronunciation very carefully," adds the source. During his off-time the actor engages the locals in conversation to learn more from them. Shahid is in the city for another 10 days. It is a tedious schedule where they have been shooting all throughout the night. Phata Poster Nikla Hero is set to release next year.

She avers her self-criticism helps her do better with each film The 26-year-old says, "I am very harsh on myself. I am very rarely satisfied with my own work but I am glad that it is like this. I would rather be harsh on myself than be happy with the smallest thing that I do. I compete with myself and challenge myself to do better every day. It gives me the drive to push myself otherwise I would be stuck in the rut." Giving remarkable performance in her last releaseCocktail, where she played tough character Veronica, Deepika has proved that she is more than a pretty face. Saif Ali Khan performs some dangerous stunts scene in water for Race 2 Earlier Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar had experienced few moments with sharks while filming an under-water sequence in his film Blue, and now the latest buzz says that Saif Ali Khan is the next to follow suit as in his upcoming film Race 2, he has given several stunt scenes in the water. It is learnt that while filming the dangerous stunt scenes, filmmaker Abbas-Mustan and crew members had thought of getting a body double to perform Saif's high-octane chase scenes in the water. However, lo and behold, Saif did all of that himself steering his motorboat with elan. A source from the sets says, "Saif just loves water sports and didn't give in to the requests of having a body double. He wanted to do it on his own. In fact every time action director Peter Heins would get busy setting up scenes, Saif would take the boat for a spin." Peter says, "Saif doesn't like to use body doubles and that's the best part of working with actors like John Abraham and Saif who are so enthusiastic about doing their own action. I was scared to imagine Saif controlling the boat himself. But ultimately it turned out very well." Saif says he had a great time filming in Cyprus for the sequence and adds, "It was quite a remarkable action sequence. Peter designed it very well. I love being in the sea." Well done, Saifu! 
Life to bring in some sweet and sour moments in Colors Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon Colors' Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon is running on high note and is even showcasing the different shades of life. On one hand one can see that Madhu (Drashti Dhami) and RK (Vivian Dsena) are trying hard to convince Padmini (Pallavi Purohit) and Shamsher (Bhupinder Singh) to get married. And on the other end Trishna (Aarti Puri) has come face to face with her dreadful past, her father Balraj Choudhary (Raj Zutshi). She wanted to let her family know about it but out of fear she hides the same. As heard the upcoming episodes will bring in more twists as Padmini and Shamsher will eventually agree to get married. And then the celebrations for the same will kick start. The coming episodes we will see the Mehendi celebrations taking place in house where Trishna and Madhu will do a dance performance during the ceremony. Talking about the same, Aarti aka Trishna said, "My sister and me and amongst the few lucky people who get to witness their mother's wedding and enjoy each and every ceremony too. It is a very special feeling for us since we get to put up a dance performance for her during the mehndi ceremony. We will dance on the song Navrai Majhi from the movie English Vinglish". Wow! Freida Pinto might make her Bollywood debut soon Indian-born Freda Pinto, who made her mark worldwide with Slumdog Millionaire and later went on to work in numerous Hollywood films, has reportedly signed her first Bollywood project. This happens four years after making her big screen debut. With Slumdog Millionaire came worldwide fame for Frieda and she won a bevy of international awards, be it the BAFTAs or the Academy Awards. She went on to star alongside Hollywood hottie James Francoand even inked a film with Woody Allen. But what remained on everyone's mind is when she would actually sign a Bollywood film. However, now it seems that she is giving her Bollywood debut a serious thought. Sources say filmmakers Vikramaditya Motwane and Navdeep Singh have been working on a script that they have offered to her. A source says, "While her films abroad haven't really worked wonders for her career, she has managed to stay in the spotlight thanks to her immaculate dressing sense and her so-called exotic looks. But this film could change her fortunes." Sources add that Motwane asked his friend Navdeep (Manorama Six Feet Under) to make a film for his production house. The film will be heroine-oriented and the script has been penned by Navdeep. Let's see what Freida decides! 
Anushka Sharma Says I have never found Vishal's films dark or grey Anushka Sharma was recently quoted as saying that she was in complete know-how of the way her character of Bijlee shaped at the writing stage itself in Vishal Bharadwaj'supcoming film Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola. Noting Vishal's films have time and again touched upon grey shades, when asked if she wasn't wee bit apprehensive about what she was stepping into Anushka says, "See, words like �dark', �grey' and all are very subjective. As a matter of fact I have never found Vishal's films dark or grey. I know for sure though that when I was younger, I wouldn't have been able to understand his films. However as I grew older, I could see what he was trying to say. Recently when I saw Omkara and Maqbool again for the second time, I understood that his characters, however negative they may be, have something much beyond what appears right in front of you on screen". She goes on to add, "Even if these characters do something evil, in the end they will never come across as evil people. Vishal will always show them flawed in the way any other human being would be which means an evil person would have something redeeming about him". Starring Imran Khan, Anushka Sharma and Pankaj Kapur, the film releases on 11th January 2013. 
Tena Desae Says With Rajeev and Paresh Rawal around I was all the more confident In upcoming film Table No. 21, Rajeev Khandelwal and Paresh Rawal are the only ones, who have spent quite some time in Bollywood and know how things work here, however for lead actress Tena Desae it was completely new experience as she has done only few off-beat films in the industry. So, when it came to her first out and out commercial film Table No.21, she was particularly thrilled when she realised that her co-stars were no less than Rajeev Khandelwal and Paresh Rawal. "When I found out about the cast, I was very happy. Since the film is being driven by three major characters, it was important for me to have other actors as really strong. Otherwise the film would have fallen flat if the characters didn't bring the story alive. Honestly, we could have been scre$$d of not for an able cast," says Tena in an animated tone. Fortunately though, her fears were unfounded. "Rajeev has a strong history of films. His Aamir andShaitan have been cult and even otherwise he has done some hardcore intense stuff, case in point being his television show Sach Ka Saamna. As for Paresh, he can do anything. I welcomed the fact that they were there since I depended on their brilliance to perform well. When they were around, I was all the more confident," admits Tena. Now here is hoping that her confidence indeed pays off when the film releases all over this Friday.
