Anil Kapoor is keen on casting daughter Sonam Kapoor in Indian version of 24 Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor, who is set to make his small screen debut as he is bringing the Indian adaption of award-winning American TV series 24 to Indian television, says he is willing to cast daughter Sonam Kapoor if there is a role for her. "If there is a character which suits Sonam or Sonam thinks will suit her, then why not? We will definitely pitch, these days we have to talk to Sonam's managers," the 52-year-old said in Mumbai on Tuesday at the launch of his upcoming show 24. For those uninitiated, 24 is an American television series that started in 2001 and ran till 2010, with a total of 192 episodes. Anil himself featured in the eighth season of the show as Omar Hassan, president of the fictional Islamic Republic of Kamistan and since then he has been in awe of the show and later decided to bring in on Indian channels. Bhardwaj says it was Aamir who inspired him to make the movie, an adaptation of Shakespeare's Othello. "There was a film we were planning to make, but it got shelved a year later due to some differences. During that time, I used to tell Aamir about this character Langda Tyagi and Othello. He encouraged me to do something on it and said he would play the role. "Aamir told me to come to him after a year when the script is ready, but this time, I did not want to fall into his trap so I went to Saif," says the filmmaker. Bhardwaj is currently working on the release of his upcoming film, Matru Ki Bijli Ka Mandola, starring Pankaj Kapur,Anushka Sharma and Imran Khan.

Farhan Akhtar shines in teaser trailer of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag Mumbai: The first look of Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's ambitious �Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' was released Thursday evening. Starring Farhan Akhtar, and Sonam Kapoor in a cameo, the film is a biopic on veteran athlete Milkha Singh. Popularly known as the Flying Sikh, Milkha represented India in the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome and the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo and won gold medals in 200 meter race at the Asian Games in 1958 and 1962. Filmmaker and actor Farhaan AKhtar has been preparing for a long time to look the part which is evident in the teaser. The film has been written by Prasoon Joshi and Milkha Singh apparently took active interest in the making of film, giving insights about his life to the crew to make it look authentic in the film. The film is scheduled to release on 12 July, 2013. 
Dev Anand statue to be unveiled in Mumbai On the first death anniversary of evergreen actor Dev Anand on December 3, a statue will be unveiled at the Bandra Bandstand Promenade in Mumbai. The statue will be unveiled as part of UTV Stars' property Walk of the Stars and it will join the statues of Raj Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor. For those uninitiated, Dev Anand died of cardiac arrest last year in London. He was88. His life-size statue in brass will be unveiled by yesteryear actress Waheeda Rahman, who made her debut opposite Dev Anand in the 1956 film C.I.D. Together, they featured in seven movies. The iconic actor started his career in the black-and-white era with 1946 film Hum Ek Hain, and spent 65 years as an actor and filmmaker in Bollywood. He left an indelible mark in the minds of movie buffs with classics like Baazi, Paying Guest, Guide, Jewel Thief and Hare Rama Hare Krishna. The property, akin to the world-famous Hollywood Walk of Fame, was launched earlier this year with the felicitation of the legendary Kapoor family, by actress Kareena Kapoor and director Madhur Bhandarkar. The Walk of the Stars features film celebrities' handprints on customised slabs, and brass statues of iconic actors. 
Asin feels it is bad to call anyone a prop in a male oriented film B-town girl Asin feels that it is unfair to call anyone, let alone a heroine, a prop in a male-oriented film. The Ghajini girl opines whatever the role may be, a heroine plays a part only she can essay in a movie. She says, "I don`t think anybody is a prop (in a film). You need a female protagonist and only she can do the role. So it is not very fair to call anybody a prop". It is notable that after setting a mark in South film industry, Asin made her Bollywood debut with Ghajini in 2008. Since then, she has been a part of many successful films like Ready, Bol Bachchan and Housefull 2. The actress said, "I think I am satisfied with the roles which I have got. They have become hit also. It is not easy to come from south to the north. Both audiences want different (types of) heroines. So it is not like it is an easy task. Otherwise, everyone would be doing it". Asin is not wary of her films failing at box-office as she takes the failure in positive sense. She stated her thought on the same saying, "Only two of my films have had an ensemble cast. I am proud and happy that I did those films as I formed many professional relationships with many stars. I am sure that there are better films ahead". On being quizzed about her presence in the films being a success at the box office, she said, "I don`t give any guarantee. But it has all been a success so far, thanks to god`s grace. But I have no set formula. I work with teams who I like to work with. I think that is the formula. Generally I select universally appealing and fun scripts". Her next in line is Akshay Kumar starrer Khiladi 786 set to release on December 7. The film has Asin playing a Maharashtrian girl and it's her second film outing with Akki. Hope this one too scores big one at the ticket window!

Of course, it was a case of negligence, but the airline staff wasn't listening to her. But fortunately, Hrithik Roshan, who was also travelling with her, immediately came to her help as he pulled up an airport officer for the negligence and asked him to apologise right away. The Mad Men star has signed up to compere the We Hate Hurricanes event next month (Dec12) at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. Comedians Will Ferrell, Aziz Ansari and Sarah Silverman will join Hamm onstage, and the audience will also be entertained with performances from rocker Beck and other yet-to-be-announced acts. All proceeds from the show will benefit AmeriCares, a disaster relief aid organisation which provides immediate medical response after emergencies and long-term humanitarian assistance. We Hate Hurricanes will take place just two days before 12.12.12 : a star-studded Sandy benefit concert that will be held at New York's Madison Square Garden.

Larry Hagman to be honoured on Dallas set Larry Hagman will be commemorated on the set of �Dallas'. The 81-year-old actor : who passed away from ongoing complications in his battle with throat cancer on Friday (23.11.12) : will be honoured with a public service at the US soap's South fork Ranch on December 2, which was home to his villainous alter-ego J.R. Ewing and his family. Larry's long-term manager and close friend Gene Yusem confirmed to MailOnline: �It sounds like it will happen and I wouldn't be surprised if it does. �Larry had such a great sense of humour, he would have loved it.' Fans of the actor who secure a spot at the public memorial will also be able to go on a tour of the ranch ahead of the service. Larry's manager John Catalonia revealed the actor will be honoured with two further private services in Texas and California next week. John said: �There will not be an official burial site for Mr. Hagman.' While the �I Dream of Jeannie' star's ashes were expected to be scattered on the set of �Dallas' and at various locations around the world, his son Preston says such an announcement is �premature'. He said: �I've been checked. My levels are fine. I'm as healthy as can be. My blood pressure, everything's fine. �The real health challenge is when you put it back on. It's very easy to create a form of diabetes if you don't do it right. You can't just start eating cheeseburgers and ice cream. Your body will go into shock and it just won't work.' Despite his dramatic weight loss, Matthew insists he feels fine and has shed the pounds in a healthy way, though he is fascinated by the way his body has responded to the changes. He added in an interview with website Youthgossip.com : �I feel fine. I really do. I got the means to lose the weight in a really healthy way. I'm eating fresh fish. I'm just eating small amounts. I'm not being starved.
