Imran Khan and Anushka Sharma Says Not cast for Tanu Weds Manu sequel

There has been buzz since quite some time that Imran Khan and Anushka Sharma are considered for the sequel of Tanu Weds Manu; however we guess this is not something the lead pair of upcoming film Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola is aware of.

Present in Delhi to promote the Vishal Bhardwaj film, the rather urbane Imran Khan has unleashed his rustic side as Matru.

"I think there was a Matru in me waiting to come out. I thought I was absolutely wrong for this role and even told Vishal Bhardwaj that it was a casting mishap. But Vishal said that casting an actor who is perfect for the role is no challenge but casting a misfit for the role is the challenge, so here I am," said Imran Khan.

His co-star Anushka Sharma dressed in ultra-skinny pants and a black three-quarter jacket said, "Bijlee was, by far, Vishal's most complex character. I walked into the role thinking what fun it will be till I realised the numerous layers Bijlee had." The uber chic Anushka as Bijlee also suffers from a Meena Kumari complex. The actress said, laughing, that her character loves misery despite being happy.

At the same time, the actors denied rumours that they were being cast together in the sequel to 2011 movie Tanu Weds Manu. Anushka said, "I am waiting to sink my claws into my two next films Peekay with Aamir and Bombay Velvet withRanbir." This is one Bijlee who is all set for a blitzkrieg.
