Sammi Kane Kraft Dies In Car Crash BAD NEWS BEARS star Sammi Kane Kraft has died in Los Angeles after a car accident in the early hours of Tuesday (09Oct12). The 20-year-old real-life athlete, who landed her role in the 2005 remake due to her baseball skills, was a passenger in an Audi that was rear-ended by a truck on the 10 Freeway, and then struck by another vehicle. Kraft was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where doctors pronounced her dead. The driver, Molly Kate Adams, received treatment for moderate injuries, and was arrested on suspicion of felony drunk driving.
