Jenny Mccarthy Opens Up About Vicodin Abuse Model/actress Jenny Mccarthy once became hooked on prescription medication, and used to pop as many as 10 pills a day. The Playboy pin-up recounts her experiences with rave drug Ecstasy in her new autobiography, Bad Habits: Confessions of a Recovering Catholic, and also delves into her struggle with Vicodin. MCCarthy refused to check into a rehabilitation clinic to kick her addiction to the potent painkiller, and instead tackled the withdrawal process bysweating it out. Talking about her book, she tells Fastmaza.com , "(I took) eight, 10 a day. Trying to come off of it was awful. The detox was crazy bad. No, (I didn't go to rehab).
