0

young picture of MICHAEL JACKSONMICHAEL JACKSON's hit track WE ARE THE WORLD is set to raise even more money for good causes - the release form signed by the superstar to give the single proceeds to charity is to go under the hammer at a benefit auction.

The piece of paper, which the superstar signed in 1985, donated all the royalties from the song to aid famine relief in Africa.

The track hit the number one slot in nearly twenty countries and raised $63 million (£42 million), and it is now set to do even more good when the release form is sold at an entertainment memorabilia auction benefiting the VH1 Save the Music Foundation.

The sale, which takes place on 21 and 22 October (09) in Connecticut, also features the leather jacket worn by the King of Pop in his 1988 video for Dirty Diana, as well as a set of handwritten lyrics.

Other items to feature in the sale include guitars owned by Elvis Presley and Jimi Hendrix, Prince's stage outfits and Johnny Cash's treasured carved walking stick.

Debbie Rowe prepares to gain custody of 'Jackson kids'

Debbie Rowe, the mother of Michael Jackson's two older childrenDebbie Rowe, the mother of Michael Jackson's two older children, is apparently drawing up plans to gain custody of the children.

The former nurse, who married the King of Pop in 1996 and filed for divorce three years later, made her first public appearance at her California ranch since the star's death at his Los Angeles home on June 25.

Her decision to appear in public was suggested as the first stage of a bitter PR battle with the Jackson family over the custody of Prince Michael I, 12, Paris, 11, and for seven-year-old Blanket, who is not her child.

"They are my flesh and blood. I am going after my children," the Daily Star quoted her as saying from the doors of her bungalow.

The 50 year-old said that she was ready to undergo a DNA test to prove her biological claim to the older Jackson kids, and that the singer was not their father.

She said: "Michael was divorced, lonely and wanted children. I was the one who said to him: 'I will have your babies.' I offered him my womb - it was a gift. It was something I did to keep him happy. I was just the vessel. It wasn't Michael's sperm. I got paid for it, and I've moved on."

Debbie recently won a postponement of a court custody hearing scheduled for July 6.

Jackson hired 'day team and night team' of nannies for Prince Michael

Prince Michael JacksonLate King of Pop Michael Jackson, who died of a suspected cardiac arrest last week, had reportedly employed a 'day team and night team' of nannies to look after his eldest son Prince Michael.

The 'Thriller' sensation was said to be desperate to ensure that Prince Michael was properly cared for after his birth in 1997, and thus hired 12 people so that someone would always be with his son, reports the China Daily.

"The baby was cared for by a team of six nannies and six nurses, who worked in shifts so that there were always two nurses and two nannies by his side," a source who worked at Michael's Neverland Ranch said.

"They were kept under constant video surveillance, which was monitored by members of Jackson's security team. The nannies all had special training.

"The day-team did exercise drills with the baby to build up his strength. The night-team read and sang to him," the source added.

Concerned about his child's well-being, adds the newspaper report, Jackson even ordered the nannies to throw away the boy's toys each evening to guard against germs.

A nanny revealed: "We had to measure the air quality in his room once an hour. When we fed him, all the utensils had to be boiled and were all thrown away after a single use."

Prince Michael was the singer's first child with his ex-wife Debbie Rowe.

King of Pop Michael JacksonKing of Pop Michael Jackson is likely to be buried in a 25,000 dollars solid bronze casket, just like soul legend James Brown.

Known as the Promethean, the coffin has a hand-polished 14-carat gold-plate finish and blue velvet-lined interior, reported thesun.co.uk.

It is the same model chosen by relatives of James Brown for the Godfather of Soul's burial. The coffin is made by the Indiana-based Batesville Casket Company.

After Brown died at 73 on Christmas Day 2006, Jackson visited the Georgia funeral home where he was in repose and studied the various caskets available.

Recent News about Michael Jackson's death

Michael Jackson's deathLawyers representing Michael Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray have said that their client couldn't call for emergency services when he discovered the singer unconscious because he didn't know the address of the property.

Murray, who was staying with the “Thriller” singer in Los Angeles when he died last Thursday, insisted he tried his best to get help when he discovered the star in bed but was hampered by his unfamiliarity with the rented home's address, reports contactmusic.com.

According to the medic's lawyer Edward Chernoff, Murray tried to call 911 but was unable to get a line out because of security restrictions on the property's phone lines. He considered using his personal mobile phone but realised he didn't know the address and so shouted for other staff to help him.

The doctor rushed through the house and found the pop legend's chef, who alerted his security staff who then called for an ambulance.

While waiting for paramedics, Conrad, who has been criticised for not moving the singer's body from the bed onto the floor, continued to perform CPR on the star.

'Dr. Murray began performing CPR for several minutes as he tried to revive him, unsuccessfully,” said Chernoff.

'With Michael still on the bed, he put one hand under Michael's back for support and was compressing with his other hand. He continued to check the pulse, and the pulse remained,' he added.

The star was then taken to hospital and pronounced dead at 2.26 p.m.

Despite reports that Michael was addicted to prescription drugs and had been given an injection of painkiller Demerol shortly before his death, the lawyer insists his client never administered them.

'I can state unequivocally there was no Demerol. There was no Demerol administered by Dr. Murray and no one observed him using Demerol. I am not sure where that came from. I can tell you it is false,' Chernoff said.

'King of Pop' Michael Jackson is dead

'King of Pop' Michael Jackson dead'King of Pop' Michael Jackson died today at the UCLA Medical Center after he was brought in by paramedics who found him not breathing at his home, according to various reports.

Michael Jackson's brother says it's believed that the pop star died of cardiac arrest. Jermaine Jackson cautioned at a hospital press conference Thursday that the cause of his death would not be known until an autopsy was performed.
He said Michael Jackson's personal doctor and paramedics tried to resuscitate him at his rented home in Holmby Hills. A team of doctors at UCLA Medical Center also tried for more than an hour.

Los Angeles police Lt. Gregg Strenk said at a separate news conference that police robbery-homicide detectives have been ordered to investigate, which is common in a high-profile case. Strenk says the coroner's office, which will handle inquiries into the type of death, is taking possession of the body.

Los Angeles Fire Department Capt. Steve Ruda said earlier that paramedics were called to Jackson's home at 12:26 p.m. They performed CPR and took him to the medical center. He was in a deep coma and was later pronounced dead by doctors.
Michael Jackson's mother and at least some of his brothers reportedly had gathered at UCLA Medical Center to await news on Jackson's condition.

Jackson, 50, rose to fame alongside his brothers as the lead singer of the Jackson Five in the late 1960s. Before he had reached his teens, the group scored a string of No. 1 hits such as "I Want You Back" and "ABC." But Jackson went on to even greater success as a solo artist. He became a global megastar in 1982 with the release of "Thriller," which spawned seven Top 10 hits and remains one of the two bestselling albums in history.

Jackson remained a major star for the next decade, but as the years passed he began receiving more attention for his eccentric behavior than for his music. In 1993, he was hit with the first of several accusations of child sexual abuse. Jackson eventually settled with the child's family out of court, and no charges were brought. A separate case resulted in a heavily publicized trial in 2005; he was eventually acquitted.

Earlier this year, Jackson announced his return to live performance with a series of 50 concerts in London, slated to begin July 13.
