'PAPARAZZI ARE VULTURES', says Emily Blunt

0

Emily Blunt The 25-year-old treated her mum to a red carpet walk at the 2006 premiere of The Devil Wears Prada.

But Blunt was shocked when one photographer turned on her in a vulgar rant, and the experience has left the actress wary of paparazzi who are out to get her picture.

She tells Britain's Harper's Bazaar magazine, "They can become like vultures. My mother came to The Devil Wears Prada premiere with me, and this photographer yelled
'Go f**k yourself' at me, and I heard my mum gasp. It was just appalling."

Backstreet Boy, Carter Swears Off Marriage

Backstreet Boy, Carter
The Backstreet Boy turned to drink and drugs after mum Jane and dad Robert split in 2003.

The couple fought throughout much of Nick's childhood, and he is still haunted by bitter battles he and his siblings were often dragged into.

He recalls, "There was a ton of fighting. The kids would be thrown into the middle, to choose sides."

Carter's relationship with his parents is still strained; he hasn't spoken to his father for many years - and he admits the struggle has affected his opinions on marriage.

The 29 year old is currently dating a salesgirl he met late last year, but insists "I don't believe in marriage".

But that doesn't mean he's not keen to settle down and have kids one day.

Carter, who once romanced Paris Hilton, tells People magazine he'd like to have a family of his own "someday, a little ways down the line."

SEX AND THE CITY MOVIE SEQUEL
The four main actresses had, until now, only expressed their interest in shooting a second film in the franchise after the global success of the 2008 big-screen adaptation of the TV series, which made more than $400 million worldwide.

But now the deal is sealed - the stars and writer/director Michael Patrick King signed contracts with studio bosses at New Line on Wednesday (04Feb09), reports EOnline.com's Marc Malkin.

A source tells the celebrity blogger, "Everything was finalised yesterday afternoon."
King has yet to pen a script for the sequel, but he is reportedly aiming for a summer 2010 release date.

Jermaine Jackson says, "I Don't Make Squat"

0

Jermaine JacksonJermaine Jackson thinks $3,000 per month is too damn much for child support ... for a guy who only barely made $10,000 in all of 2008.

In a desperate attempt to save himself some cash, Jermaine filed legal papers with the L.A. County courts Wednesday, claiming he hasn't made diddly squat since 2007 -- when he raked in $450,000 to appear on the U.K. version of "Big Brother."

Jermaine claims the current monthly amount he's required to fork over to his ex wife Alejandra Jackson is unfair, because his income from"Big Brother" was a factor when he agreed to pay $3,000 per month in child support in May 2008. Now Jermaine claims he can't afford to keep up the payment because he's had a "significant change of circumstance" -- and only makes $892.75 per month.

Jermaine claims on his current salary, he can barely afford to pay for clothes, laundry, groceries and a tutor for his kids, Jaafar and Jermajesty. Oh, and he also claims he's so strapped for cash, that Alejandra needs to pay his legal fees too.

Simpson's Excuse, 'I Had an Off Night'

Jessica Simpson
Jessica Simpson is already explaining her reportedly bizarre, calamity-filled, lyric-forgetting performance in Michigan last night -- chalking the whole thing up to an "off night."

Her rep tells HBM, "Jessica had an off night. She's a perfectionist and wanted to start some songs over. She always wants to give the best performance for her fans."

Jess' recent wave of bad press continued this morning when a Grand Rapids Press editor who attended the show claimed the singer forgot her lyrics, struggled with her ear monitors, mumbled through songs, fought back tears and asked her band to re-start a song.

At one point in the show, Simpson mouthed the words "I'm sorry" to the crowd.

FYI -- no apology has been issued for the years of the other shows she's done.

Jessica Alba wears a girdle and other tidbits

Jessica Alba
Sometimes, I truly, deeply feel sorry for Hollywood actresses. Take, for example, Jessica Alba, who, in the March issue of ELLE magazine, talks about trying to get back into shape unhumanly fast after giving birth to her daughter, Honor. In the story, Alba describes workouts so horrible and strenuous, they made her cry.

Another trial she endured for beauty's sake? “I wore a girdle," she says. "Eight weeks after my girlfriend had her baby, you could see her six-pack. She told me to put an elastic band around my waist—any kind of band or girdle works. She was like, 'I slept in it.' I didn’t recover as fast as she did. I [still] don’t have a six-pack.”

All of this torture wasn't even for a film role—it was so the 27-year-old could star in Campari's new ad campaign (and so, if you remember, the company could airbrush her perfectly gorgeous body anyway).

Further in the ELLE story, Alba talks about what it feels like to give birth ("Contractions aren’t that bad. If you’ve ever had bad cramps? That’s what they’re like. But that moment when they put the baby on your chest—that’s deep. It’s a deep experience.”), her new separation anxiety ("I never cried before. Just being a mother is making me a big, weepy mess.”), and, of course, fashion (“I’ve always loved beautiful clothes, but I’m not very hip to the coolest, newest, most fashionable thing."). She seems considerably vulnerable and, honestly, lovable.
