Lucy Davis Details Bulimia Hell In Open Letter British actress Lucy Davis has told how her bulimia struggle once left her with burst blood vessels in her eyes as a result of throwing up her food. Davis, who starred in the U.K. version of The Office, has previously admitted she suffers from issues with food, but now she has laid bare her battle with anorexia and bulimia in a new open letter, published in Britain's The Sun. The star reveals she used to starve herself for days before devouring a week's worth of meals in a single sitting, and once feared her eating disorders had driven her "truly insane". She writes, "By the start of 2011, I started bingeing more and more. I couldn't get through a day : even half a day : without bingeing. "Then, one day in February 2011, I was in aLondon hotel room and binged on a huge amount of food. I started crying, fell to the floor and let out a sort of scream. I was desperate : and I thought I was truly insane. I couldn't believe food had me in its grip like this. The idea of bringing it back up came into my head. I'd never done it before, but all I could think of was getting this food out of me. I was unprepared for the high that came with it. It was a powerful addiction. And I told no one. "A few months later, I woke with burst blood vessels in my eyes after purging the day before." Davis joined an Overeaters Anonymous (Oa) group after her brother confronted her about her condition, and insists she now has a much healthier attitude towards her weight. She adds, "I went to an Oa meeting and got a sponsor, someone who has had an eating disorderand helps with the 12 Steps. I went to five meetings a week : and still do. I admitted to myself and others I was anorexic and bulimic. I started to feel less ashamed and guilty. My recovery does not make my life perfect but it has given me a different set of eyes with which to see everything. I don't know what I weigh now. I just ask my doctor to let me know if he is happy with what I weigh."

Carrie explained: "When you listen to the songs, you can see them happening in your head : they're like little movies in song form. I feel like we really got to play off of that when we were putting the tour together, and made it more cinematic and all about telling these really great stories. "We put great visuals along with it to take people on a ride throughout the show. I really enjoyed putting all of this together and more than anything I want people to feel like they get their money's worth, because money is tight and there are not a lot of extra funds lying around. "If someone spent that money to come see us play, I just want them to feel like it was so totally worth it."

On Saturday (October 6, 2012) the premiere of the Lifetime original "Abducted: The Carlina White Story" also generated strong viewership, earning 4.1 million total viewers, but Steel Magnolias was the clear winner; the film scored the studio's best audience since Life Is Not a Fairy Tale: The Fantasia Barrino Story in 2006 and was the top cable movie among total viewers since 2007. The diversity of the cast demonstrated the universal nature of the themes, with the story being virtually identical to the original feature film, which, having been filmed in the late 80's, features a predominantly white cast. Julia Roberts and Sally Field, for instance, starred in the 80's version.

Lawyer Blair G. Brown has slammed claims printed in the November (12) issue that Janet held up the burial in 2009 while waiting to be repaid the $40,000 (£25,000) she gave to cemetery bossesas a deposit for a burial plot. In a letter to Vanity Fair editor-in-chief Graydon Carter, Brown insists the story, which was an excerpt from Randall Sullivan's upcoming book, Untouchable: The Strange Life and Tragic Death of Michael Jackson, is "untrue" and "outrageous". Brown writes, "This story is particularly hurtful and distressing because of Ms. Jackson's strong desire to serve her brother, whom she loved dearly, and her wish to stand with and support her family." The attorney goes on to brand the article "replete with additional false and defamatory statements" regarding Janet, and demands a retraction. The Thriller icon was interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in California on 3 September, 2009 : more than two months after his death.
