He said: �There are two things for a marriage to be good. One is to work hard on it. The other one is to marry above you. And I succeeded at both of those.' The actor-and-director admits his wife is �cool' with his hectic schedule and says he appreciates how she stays up late waiting for him to come to bed so they can brainstorm ideas about whatever new film he's working on. He explained: �My wife is very cool. She knows that directing is consuming in that way. She's just happy I come home. Usually, I come home after the kids are in bed anyway. We like to chat for a little bit and l'll talk about the movie and what I'm doing, what I'm thinking or whatever. She's a good sounding board.' The Hollywood couple : who have children Violet, seven, Seraphina, three, and nine-month-old Samuel together : have had to adjust their lifestyles to cater for their expanding family, and Ben admits Jennifer has sacrificed her love of travel for the sake of their kids. He said: �My wife would just love to travel, but having three children in a row has meant that I travel more than she does. She wants to travel so much.'

However, Cheryl's protective mother Joan Callaghan has scuppered his plans as she thinks it's too soon, especially as Cheryl was so hurt when her marriage to soccer player Ashley Cole ended in 2010 after he cheated on her. A source told The Youthgossip.com : �Tre called her and said he wanted to propose to Cheryl when they are in America with his parents. He wanted to do it on Christmas Day, but Joan refused to give her blessing. �She's warming to Tre but there's no way she's going to let another man take Cheryl down the aisle so quickly. �Tre's got his work cut out if he thinks he can get around Joan so soon.' Cheryl is very close to her mum and famously moved her into the marital home she once shared with ex-husband Ashley, soon after they tied the knot in 2006. Their settlement is said to have been complicated because of joint financial investments made during their marriage, including purchasing properties together. Camille and Kelsey had a very complicated settlement because of the properties they owned together and various investments.' The 68-year-old actor : who is married to Catherine Zeta-Jones : attended his son Cameron's court hearing yesterday (19.12.12) as he appealed against the 54 extra months of prison time that were added to his current five-year sentence for narcotics distribution. The �Fatal Attraction' star told reporters outside the Manhattan courtroom the case was �on appeal� and he was �clearly' hoping for the best, according to the Youthgossip.com . Defence attorney Paul Shechtman told the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, �I'm not suggesting Cameron Douglas shouldn't be punished for this', adding that the sentence was �shockingly long' and �maybe the harshest sentence ever imposed on a federal prisoner for a drug possession offence'. Cameron's attempt to shorten his sentence comes days after being attacked in prison, where he suffered a broken leg and finger. A bounty of $100 was reportedly put on the 34-year-old actor by a New York mobster as payback for telling police who his drug suppliers were. The troubled star was only supposed to serve five years instead of 10 after doing a deal with prosecutors, but earned an extra four-and-a-half years for smuggling heroin and a prescription narcotic during his stay at the Metropolitan Correctional Centre. Cameron : whose mother is Michael's ex-wife Diandra Morrell Douglas : is currently not eligible for release until 2018. 
J.B. Gill gets sheep from JLS bandmates JLS have bought J.B. Gill a sheep for Christmas. His bandmates Marvin Humes, Oritse Williams and Aston Merrygold gave their friend the livestock as an early present and it will live on the farm J.B. bought in Kent, South East England, earlier this year. The boys can be seen presenting the animal to 26-year-old J.B. on British TV show �A Very JLS Christmas' : which will be broadcast on Sky1 this Saturday (22.12.12) : with Aston announcing: �So, J.B. you bought a farm this year and we think you might need a few things for that farm.' A sheep is then lead out wrapped in a bow, and J.B. is then presented with a tweed jacket, a flat cap and a pair of Wellington boots to look like a farmer. J.B. purchased a tractor soon after getting the land and insisted he couldn't wait to get some animals to create a genuine countryside atmosphere. He explained: �I love the outdoors. It gets me away from the city and the mayhem that comes from being in a band. �I've already got chickens. I want pigs, cows, sheep : the lot.' Putting his farmyard duties aside, the singer is planning to throw an early New Year's party for the band at the farm and their friends before each of them head off for their own celebrations to mark the start of 2013. A source told the Youthgossip.com : �Most of the gang are going away for breaks in the New Year and Marvin is off on his honeymoon [with Rochelle Humes] : finally. �This is the last for opportunity the boys to get together for one last bash this year.
