Aadhi Bhagawan marks the fifth association of the Ameer – Yuvan combo and this flick has been branded as a Mafioso Love story.
Jayam Ravi sports stylish beards and a rugged look in general while Neetu Chandra is his pair. The audio of this movie was launched recently in Toronto, Canada in a grand Yuvan concert.
Story
The love story slowly grows in the first half and we get to know Jayam Ravi’s character a bit more in depth; things like how he has had a recent fall out with his boss Baby Antony and how his mother Sudha Chandran is not in agreement with his job and hence has banished him from her home. Meanwhile, he proposes to Neetu Chnadra and the latter wants him to go to India to meet with her father. All is not what it seems; Ravi realizes he is being hunted down in India for a lookalike (who is also a eunuch) because bad people who are against the eunuch wants to use him to get even with their enemies.
One of the main grouses you will have after (or while) watching the movie is that despite such convoluted drama and numerous events, the movie fails to capture your fancy. Ridden with plot holes as huge as a truck to drive through it, the movie does not have a moment of logic in it. Hence, you do not tend to enjoy what is happening on screen.
That is sad because Jayam Ravi’s stunt scenes are extremely good. The stunt choreography stands out but that is all there is to it unfortunately.
Jayam Ravi has toiled hard for the movie and it is evident scene after scene. He makes his character somewhat credible despite its sketchy writing. He plays a eunuch in the second half that only looks contrived than anything else. This movie will be an addition to his profile to showcase his multi-faceted acting skills but that’s largely in vain because of the film’s overall performance. Neetu Chandra as Karishma is good looking but her crouching-tiger-hidden-dragonesque stunt sequences with Jayam Ravi are nothing more than comic relief. Suffice to say, the other actors in the movie, Sudha Chandran and Babu Antony have done their jobs adequately.
Technical Analysis
Cinematography is good and all the songs are well-shot in the beautiful locations. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s background score is appealing. Dialogues are fine. Ameer’s direction is very good. While there are few loopholes in the first half, the screenplay by Ameer covered it with decent pace in the second half. Editing work by S.P.Ahmed could have been better. Production values are standard.
Analysis
Ameer in Aadhi Bhagavan is an action entertainer but the story line is new to Kollywood. The script had few clichés in the first half while the execution is outstanding.
Director Ameer’s hard work can be seen clearly on screen and he has done more than decent job. Jayam Ravi’s character initially was designed well and it justifies the title as the protagonist loves taking risks, challenges with loads of bravery.
First half though having some slow pace, the interval block of the movie is really appealing. Second half of the movie is really well executed and Jayam Ravi steals the entire show with his performance. The climax is abrupt and extremely predictable.
Performances
Jayam Ravi yet again does an energetic role in the movie. His hard work for 2 years can be seen on screen. Jayam Ravi completely changed his physique for this movie he looked dashing throughout the movie.
Neetu Chandra is quite glamorous as well as with some rough look in the film and she has done her role well as Karishma. Her chemistry with Jayam Ravi worked well.
Ameer and Sudha Chandran have done justice to their roles, Sakshi Sivanand is impressive in special appearance and others were adequate.
Final Verdict
The album sounds rich and has wide-ranging songs. This turns out to be another winner for the Ameer – Yuvan duo. The racy songs gel with the gangster genre of the movie while there are ample melodies as well to back the romance portions.

Ne-Yo's tough vegan diet Ne-Yo admits turning vegan is one of the hardest things he's ever had to do. The Because of You' hitmaker decided to give up meat and any animal-based products for at least 30 days, and while he is feeling the benefits, he says it's been a very tough time. He said: I've gone vegan. There are more difficult things, but this is definitely a test of discipline. I just wanted to see if I could. It's one of the most challenging diets and ways of life there is out there. No meat, nothing derived from animals. I can't even eat honey as it comes from bees. I haven't killed anybody yet! I told myself I'd do, at the very least, 30 days. As far as energy levels and all of that, there's a very obvious change. On the other hand, there's been other days when I could kill someone for a hamburger.' The R&B star is now one of the biggest names in the music industry but admits even he gets star-struck but tries to remain cool. When asked who is the most famous person he's urinated next to, Ne-Yo told The Youthgossip.com: Kanye West. I don't even think he saw me. He was a couple of urinals down. I wouldn't dare run up and be like: Hey!' You don't run up to people and try and shake their hand in the bathroom : you just don't. I let the man do his business : and then shook his hand later on in the night. That's toilet etiquette.'

Last year, as part of his release deal with his first DUI arrest, Bobby agreed to enter rehab. However, in August he checked out early because he didn't think he needed anymore help.
Cheryl Cole can't stop swearing Cheryl Cole can't stop swearing. The Promise This' hitmaker is concerned she has developed Tourette's Syndrome : a condition where sufferers are stricken by physical and verbal tics and spontaneously shout out obscene language : because she can't keep her foul mouth under control. She tweeted: Question! Can you develop turrets at age 29?? Have had a few involuntary outbursts lately?!!! (sic)' When a fan suggested it could be the result of returning to her fellow crazy Geordies' in her hometown of Newcastle upon Tyne for Girl's Aloud's tour earlier this week, she added: Maybe that's it!! (sic)' Cheryl has previously admitted to sending an expletive-filled text message to Simon Cowell after she was fired from The X Factor USA just days into her contract. I believed we had a good friendship and couldn't understand why he hadn't been straight with me. I wrote the longest text ever. F**k you, f**k Britain's Got Talent', f**k the orange and purple outfit. F**k big hair. F**k the UK X Factor. F**k you all. I hate you. I understand you're a businessman, and what I've learned from this is business means more to you than friendship. I'm sad it's got like this and I wish you the best of luck, but count me out.' Simon texted back, Can I talk to you?' I ignored him.'

Adele isn't the first celebrity who has stopped by the burger bar : whose catchphrase is Quality you can taste' : as it has previously been visited by stars such as David Beckham, George Clooney and TV chef Gordon Ramsay. After the Academy Awards many stars went and let their hair down to mark the night. Host Seth MacFarlane, who was extremely critical' of his performance on stage during the ceremony, took to the dancefloor at his own after-party at The Lot club in West Hollywood, and he partied until the early hours. His sister Rachael said: He seemed happy, he seemed relaxed. He was having a blast at his party. He was feeling no pain at around two in the morning.' Ben Affleck shaved off his beard at Craig's restaurant after refusing to remove it during awards season as it was his lucky charm for his film Argo' : which was named Best Picture. A source said: He did it to mark the end of a chapter. It had that ceremonial quality to it.'
Kevin Bacon's vagabond life Kevin Bacon and his wife Kyra Sedgwick live like vagabonds'. The Following' actor and his actress spouse : who have two children together, Travis, 23, and Sosie, 20 : are so used to travelling for their respective careers, they have bags packed and ready to go at all times. He said: Even though we've got a real solid thing and we are homebodies, we're also vagabonds. We've had the suitcase packed our entire lives together and go from job to job to job, to this town and that town.' The 54-year-old star added that his jet-setting lifestyle in film made him reluctant to do a TV show, but his wife : who starred on TV drama The Closer' for seven years : helped him overcome his attitude. He explained to Youthgossip.com : I started acting at a time when television wasn't where you wanted to go if you wanted to make movies. But I turned around four or five years ago and said, What are you doing? You love TV, your wife is on a television show, you're directing television, when you get together with your friends, that's what you're talking about', so I threw my hat into the ring. She said some really obvious stuff such as, Think long and hard because if it works, you're going to be playing this guy for a long time'. In some ways that was one of the biggest things that frightened me. The idea of playing one character for a long time was a frightening thing.'
Cara Delevingne Women don't understand Rihanna Cara Delevingne thinks women don't understand' Rihanna. The British model struck up a friendship with the Diamonds' hitmaker two years ago and says she can always rely on her singer pal to look after her when she visits the US. Cara : who walked in Rihanna's River Island show at London Fashion Week : said: The Rihanna show was fun. I met her when she was here two years ago doing a gig. Clive Davis doesn't blame Bobby Brown Clive Davis doesn't blame Whitney Houston's ex-husband for her death. The music mogul : who managed the I Will Always Love You Singer' singer after discovering her when she was just 20 : believes her former husband Bobby Brown, 44, was not responsible for her problems with drugs before her accidental drowning in a hotel bathtub in February 2012, which was caused by heart disease and cocaine use. The 80-year-old executive told the Youthgossip.com: I don't believe it was Bobby Brown. I think they did have a co-dependent, unhealthy relationship with each other. But I would never point to him. I have no idea who her enabler was.' Clive, who recently revealed he is bisexual, also dismissed speculation that Whitney, who was 48, once had a romantic relationship with her former assistant Robyn Crawford. He said: I really saw her in brief relationships with men. I do write about that she did have an interim relationship with Jermaine Jackson when he was separated. I know that she went out with Eddie Murphy for a while until she married Bobby Brown. I only knew of Robin as her assistant, someone she grew up with, since she was a teenager. I just knew the heterosexual side of Whitney.' Bobby : who was jailed for 55-days and placed on four years of summary probation for his most recent drunk driving arrest in Los Angeles on Monday (26.02.13) : was married to Whitney for 14-years and they had one child together Bobbi Kristina Brown, 19. Whitney's mother Cissy Houston previously admitted she didn't think Whitney's death was Bobby's fault either. Writing in her book Remembering Whitney', Cissy explained: I think Bobby was Nippy's [Whitney] rebellion. Around him, she didn't have to be the perfect girl. Yet I don't blame Bobby for introducing her to drugs.' Cissy tried numerous times to make Whitney quit drugs and details one attempt in 2000 when Whitney refused to go to rehab.
Cheryl Cole to add to tattoo Cheryl Cole is planning to add to her new tattoo. The Promise This' hitmaker showed off a new inking, two large red roses on her lower back, when she took to the stage for Girls Alouds 10th anniversary tour last week and though the lavish design has been mocked, she hasn't finished the artwork yet. Her tattoo artist, Nikko Hurtado, tweeted her to say: thanks for the mention in your interview about your tattoo. Your the best lady.(sic)' Cheryl responded, saying: of course!! You are unbelievably talented. Looking forward to having your work finished, see you soon (sic)' It seems Cheryl has had a change of heart as she said shortly after unveiling the artwork for the first time she was done' with tattoos now. She said: I actually got it five months ago but it's somewhere on my body you wouldn't expect people to see it very often. It was done by this amazing artist called Nikko Hurtado who basically travels round the world going to conventions.' It was really painful but I think I'm done with tattoos now. It wasn't for any particular reason, I just liked the design. It took 15 hours in total.' Cheryl's other inkings include tribal tattoos on her right hand and lower spine, a Mrs Cole' marking on the back of her neck, a treble clef and vine leaves wrapped around her right thigh and a mysterious tattoo on her bum.
Nicole Kidman Says Keith is my love shield Nicole Kidman says Keith Urban has become her love shield'. The Stoker' star insists the country singer : with who she has two daughters, Sunday Rose, four, and two-year-old Faith Margaret : has given her a very strong' home life to offset some of her characters' lives in her movies. She said: He's given me a home. He's given me really strong love : he's given me a love shield. I have my girls and my husband and I have a very, very strong real life to counterbalance my fantasy life now.' But this has not always been the case, as the 45-year-old star : who also has adopted kids Isabella, 20, and Conor, 17, with ex-husband Tom Cruise : admits she felt incredibly lonely' after winning an Oscar in 2003 for her portrayal of Virginia Woolf in The Hours' because she didn't have such a strong family structure around her. She explained: When I won the Oscar it was kind of a mix of popping open a bottle of champagne but at the same time feeling incredibly lonely because I didn't have what I have now.' Nicole has no plans to retire from acting just yet, and she is encouraged her career can last a long time after being inspired by 86-year-old star Emmanuelle Riva's recent Best Actress Oscar nomination for her role in French-language drama movie Amour'. She added to Youthgossip.com : That's glorious. That says something great about the longevity of an actress' career. Everyone always says, Oh, they only have a shelf life of 40 years,' and you look at that and go, No way.'
Beyonce's carnival demands Beyonce reportedly demanded £50,000 to attend a British summer carnival. The 'Halo' singer was invited to the annual Maldon Carnival Association in Essex, South East England, and organisers were thrilled when she took up their offer, as other stars, such as Britney Spears, Rod Stewart and Queen Elizabeth, hadn't got back to them. Her spokesman in New York emailed committee boss Rob Slight saying: 'There is a possibility Beyonce will be available.' However, it later emerged the 'Crazy in Love' hitmaker was demanding a huge fee just to attend, something the carnival could not afford. Her spokesman said: 'It is apparent there is some miscommunication. Beyonce will require an appearance fee.' An annoyed Robsaid: 'We had wanted this year to be the best yet.' But Beyonce will be in Essex over the summer as it was recently announced she will headline this year's Virgin Media V Festival. The mother-of-one will make her only European festival appearance while Kings of Leon will also top the bill at the annual event, which takes place in both Hylands Park, Chelmsford, and Weston Park, Staffordshire across the weekend of August 17 and 18.
