Breaking News Karan Johar celebrate New Year's Eve with - Bollywood Gossips
Breaking News Karan Johar celebrate New Year's Eve with The director is on the guest list of the two most popular Khans (Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan) of the fraternity, and we wonder whose party KJo will finally plan to attend While Salman Khan has made up his mind about celebrating New Year's Eve with close family and friends, Shahrukh Khan is all set to have a gala time in his posh Dubai pad. And as the two Khans have without fail invited Karan Johar to grace their shindigs with his charismatic presence, we wonder who KJo will choose over whom. On one hand there's bosom pal Shahrukh, whom Johar considers an elder brother, a mentor, a guide and whatever else. And on the other, it's Sallu and Karan's new-found friendship which is as strong as most of the rickety relationships in B-town. So will Karan want to party in his comfort zone : which is as cozy as SRK's forever open arms : or will he want to be a part of Sallu's soiree and give that much needed boost to his nascent relationship with the Ek Tha Tiger star? Well, comfort zone or no comfort zone, trust Johar to stick to his clichéd (slightly effeminate) steps and groove his booty like no one's watching… Latest News Rajesh Khanna's 70th birth anniversary special - Bollywood Gossips
Latest News Rajesh Khanna's 70th birth anniversary special The late superstar's last film Riyasat aimed to release on his 70th birth anniversary eve (December 28) will unfortunately not see the light of day for now, but his die-hard fans will continue to cherish the actor's timeless movies In all probability, our dearest Babu moshai may not be back on the silver screen to entertain his fans one last time. As reported earlier, Riyasat director Ashok Tyagi's plans to release the film on Kaka's birth anniversary has gone completely awry, as there are absolutely no takers for his project. But we don't think Khanna's loyal fans are really perturbed; like us, they probably know that Riyasatisn't a remarkable film and wouldn't have captured their favourite superstar in his best form. Instead, they would prefer watching some of his classic films like Aradhana, Khamoshi, Do Raaste, Safar, Kati Patang, Sachcha Jhoota, Anand, Amar Prem, Daag, Avatar, Swarg and Bawarchi, among others. As an actor, Rajesh Khanna showed brilliance in these films and Hindi cinema-goers responded with wild adulation and celebrated his superstardom. In Aradhana, for instance, although Sharmila Tagore had an author-backed role in the sentimental saga, Rajesh smiled his way into hearts with his deliciously charming double role as a pilot father and his son. Raj Khosla's social drama Do Raaste became known for the effortless chemistry between Khanna and Mumtaz. Before Anand, Rajesh Khanna delivered a memorable act as a dying man in Asit Sen's Safar, co-starring Sharmila and Feroz Khan. The late superstar immortalised himself with his career-best performance in Hrishikesh Mukherjees Anand, a film that celebrated the essence of life and the inevitability of death. In Shakti Samanta's Amar Prem, the Khanna-Sharmila chemistry and RD Burman's magnificent soundtrack worked big time with audiences. Yash Chopras bold take on marital relationships in Daag was ahead of its time. Even Mohan Kumar's Avataar alongside Shabana Azmi works primarily for Kaka's acting prowess, with the star resolutely fighting for the cause of senior citizens. These films and many others made him a legend that no Hindi movie buff will ever forget. Deepika Padukone Says I am very harsh on myself - Bollywood Gossips
Deepika Padukone Says I am very harsh on myself Deepika Padukone has done quite appreciative work in the short span of her Bollywood career and has secured a special place in the hearts of the audience, but the actress says she is rarely happy with her work. She avers her self-criticism helps her do better with each film The 26-year-old says, "I am very harsh on myself. I am very rarely satisfied with my own work but I am glad that it is like this. I would rather be harsh on myself than be happy with the smallest thing that I do. I compete with myself and challenge myself to do better every day. It gives me the drive to push myself otherwise I would be stuck in the rut." Giving remarkable performance in her last releaseCocktail, where she played tough character Veronica, Deepika has proved that she is more than a pretty face. "I am glad that this film happened for people to realise that. I have always believed in my work and myself but sometimes you have to wait for the right script and opportunity to come your way. Cocktail did that for me." Her next film Race 2 is ready to hit the screens on January 25. The film also stars Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez in lead roles! Saif Ali Khan performs some dangerous stunts scene in water for Race 2 - Bollywood Gossips
Saif Ali Khan performs some dangerous stunts scene in water for Race 2 Earlier Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar had experienced few moments with sharks while filming an under-water sequence in his film Blue, and now the latest buzz says that Saif Ali Khan is the next to follow suit as in his upcoming film Race 2, he has given several stunt scenes in the water. It is learnt that while filming the dangerous stunt scenes, filmmaker Abbas-Mustan and crew members had thought of getting a body double to perform Saif's high-octane chase scenes in the water. However, lo and behold, Saif did all of that himself steering his motorboat with elan. A source from the sets says, "Saif just loves water sports and didn't give in to the requests of having a body double. He wanted to do it on his own. In fact every time action director Peter Heins would get busy setting up scenes, Saif would take the boat for a spin." Peter says, "Saif doesn't like to use body doubles and that's the best part of working with actors like John Abraham and Saif who are so enthusiastic about doing their own action. I was scared to imagine Saif controlling the boat himself. But ultimately it turned out very well." Saif says he had a great time filming in Cyprus for the sequence and adds, "It was quite a remarkable action sequence. Peter designed it very well. I love being in the sea." Well done, Saifu! Freida Pinto might make her Bollywood debut soon Indian-born Freda Pinto, who made her mark worldwide with Slumdog Millionaire and later went on to work in numerous Hollywood films, has reportedly signed her first Bollywood project. This happens four years after making her big screen debut. With Slumdog Millionaire came worldwide fame for Frieda and she won a bevy of international awards, be it the BAFTAs or the Academy Awards. She went on to star alongside Hollywood hottie James Francoand even inked a film with Woody Allen. But what remained on everyone's mind is when she would actually sign a Bollywood film. However, now it seems that she is giving her Bollywood debut a serious thought. Sources say filmmakers Vikramaditya Motwane and Navdeep Singh have been working on a script that they have offered to her. Anushka Sharma Says I have never found Vishal's films dark or grey Anushka Sharma was recently quoted as saying that she was in complete know-how of the way her character of Bijlee shaped at the writing stage itself in Vishal Bharadwaj'supcoming film Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola. Noting Vishal's films have time and again touched upon grey shades, when asked if she wasn't wee bit apprehensive about what she was stepping into Anushka says, "See, words like dark', grey' and all are very subjective. As a matter of fact I have never found Vishal's films dark or grey. I know for sure though that when I was younger, I wouldn't have been able to understand his films. However as I grew older, I could see what he was trying to say. Recently when I saw Omkara and Maqbool again for the second time, I understood that his characters, however negative they may be, have something much beyond what appears right in front of you on screen". She goes on to add, "Even if these characters do something evil, in the end they will never come across as evil people. Vishal will always show them flawed in the way any other human being would be which means an evil person would have something redeeming about him". Starring Imran Khan, Anushka Sharma and Pankaj Kapur, the film releases on 11th January 2013. Tena Desae Says With Rajeev and Paresh Rawal around I was all the more confident - Bollywood Gossips
Tena Desae Says With Rajeev and Paresh Rawal around I was all the more confident In upcoming film Table No. 21, Rajeev Khandelwal and Paresh Rawal are the only ones, who have spent quite some time in Bollywood and know how things work here, however for lead actress Tena Desae it was completely new experience as she has done only few off-beat films in the industry. So, when it came to her first out and out commercial film Table No.21, she was particularly thrilled when she realised that her co-stars were no less than Rajeev Khandelwal and Paresh Rawal. "When I found out about the cast, I was very happy. Since the film is being driven by three major characters, it was important for me to have other actors as really strong. Otherwise the film would have fallen flat if the characters didn't bring the story alive. Honestly, we could have been scre$$d of not for an able cast," says Tena in an animated tone. Fortunately though, her fears were unfounded. "Rajeev has a strong history of films. His Aamir andShaitan have been cult and even otherwise he has done some hardcore intense stuff, case in point being his television show Sach Ka Saamna. As for Paresh, he can do anything. I welcomed the fact that they were there since I depended on their brilliance to perform well. When they were around, I was all the more confident," admits Tena. Now here is hoping that her confidence indeed pays off when the film releases all over this Friday. Breaking News Vidya Balan and Siddharth Roy Kapur Will they have a happy marriage - Bollywood Gossips
Vidya Balan and Siddharth Roy Kapur Will they have a happy marriage The Vidya-Balan Siddharth Roy Kapur wedding is a much anticipated affair. We find out what the future holds for this couple Vidya Balan and Siddharth Roy Kapur are set to tie the knot on December 14, 2012. Our astro-numerologist Bhavikk Sangghvi gives his take on what the future looks like for this pair. This is Siddharth's third marriage, so will he be third-time lucky? And Vidya still continue to rule the roost in the industry after tying the knot? "Siddharth Roy Kapur was born on August 2, 1974, which makes him a Number 2 (Moon) person in numerology. He is a Leo (ruler Sun : Number 1) while his destiny number adds up to Number 4 (Rahu). Being ruled by Number 2, he is automatically ruled by Number 7 (Ketu) since these two numbers always go hand in hand," explains Bhavikk. "Being a Number 2, Siddharth is very loving, caring, emotional and moody as a person. He is very firm with his plans and often takes decisions from the heart rather than his mind. Also he often speaks his mind (which is actually a good thing), but in the bargain invites trouble or rather misunderstanding in the minds of others about him," describes Bhavikk about his personality. "On the other hand, Vidya was born on January 1, 1978 : a Number 1 (Sun) person in numerology. She is a Capricorn (ruler Saturn : Number 8) and her destiny number adds up to the Number 9 (Mars). Vidya is extremely powerful, an achiever, and does not fear struggle. She is a go-getter. Although she was lucky with her entry in to films, she has come a long way and worked really hard to reach a good position, thanks to the impact of shani (Saturn) which made her go through a lot before. But this is the same planet which catapulted her in to one of the most bankable actors in Bollywood today. Due to the Mars effect (mangal), her personal life took a backseat. But not anymore!" he adds. "Talking about the foundation of Vidya and her SRK's relationship, the good news is that Number 1 and 2 are very much compatible when it comes to partnerships, associations, tie-ups, long-term commitments, in this case : marriage. Hence this jodi is here to stay!" predicts Bhavikk. Another positive aspect is that Siddharth in his 38th and Vidya in her 34th year are passing through proper vivah yog (best phase to get hitched), says the astrologer. But there could still be trouble in paradise! Why? "Since they share the powerful Number 1 (Sun) between them, it can make them fiercely competitive with each other and ego clashes may creep in," says Bhavikk, adding that this could be avoided if the couple worked towards a common goal and gave each other enough space to grow. "Siddharth should immediately wear a Yellow Sapphire and a Hessonite while Vidya must try a Blue Sapphire and an Emerald to bring an overall positive impact in their marital as well as professional lives ahead," recommends Bhavikk very strongly. Do you think Vidya and Siddharth will have a happy married life? Sunny Deol adores his vintages HMT watch - Bollywood Gossips
Sunny Deol adores his vintages HMT watch Punjab da puttar Sunny Deol has no fancy for the latest fashion trends; unlike many Bollywood actors, he rather adores an old vintage HMT watch and loves to wear it every day. Where many B-town celebrities are well-known for their obsession with big brands, which costs up to several lakhs, the others go for quirky designs and appearances. However, Sunny paaji begs to differ, as for him, it's vintage that matters. The actor apparently has taken a fancy to a very old HMT watch that he now wears every day. What more, he even has to wind the watch to make it run on time but still doesn't want to do away with it. A source says, "Sunny has been known to love watches that are versatile. His timekeepers double up as devices to measure the temperature or even his blood pressure. His latest obsession is however off the roads that cost a meager Rs 500." The informer adds, "For his latest film with Anil Sharma, he will be shown flaunting an old watch. The watch was picked up from a roadside shop and cost only Rs 500. In fact, Sunny loves the watch so much that he wears it all the time. He enjoys winding the watch every evening." Isn't it really sweet of him, readers! Quite an original human being! Saif Ali Khan has been using real guns in Bullet Raja - Bollywood Gossips
Saif Ali Khan has been using real guns in Bullet Raja The newly married, Nawab saab of Bollywood Saif Ali Khan, goes real for his upcoming film Bullet Raja, which is being directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. In the film where he is playing rustic gun-wielding-bike-riding Uttar Pradesh gangster, has reportedly been using real guns for a particular sequence. As per reliable sources from production unit, "Real and fake guns were used during the shoot in Lucknow. Saif was given the real ones, as the film's setting is realistic and he looked great with the guns instead of them ending up as mere props. Most importantly, Saif knows how to use, load, and unload fire arms. He was thus extremely particular about the guns he used and the way they were handled before and after the shoot as it could be dangerous. He took all the precautionary measures and would even shout if necessary at the crew, if they weren't careful with the guns." Apart from Saif, the film will also have Sonakshi Sinha, Jimmy Shergill, Ravi Kishan, Chunky Pandey and Gulshan Grover. Saif will also match steps with Mahie Gill in an item number called Don't touch my body, which is on the lines of Omkara's hit number, Beedi Jalai Le. Quit an interesting project!
