Will Randeep Hooda be playing his brooding self in Highway as well

In his decade long career we have seen actor Randeep Hooda playing his brooding self in almost all her films. Even in his latest film Murder 3, where he played the lead, had him playing a brooding man. And this makes us wonder how his part has shaped up in Highway which is all set to go on floors.

"Right from his debut film as a lead, D to now Murder 3, there is this particular body language and dialogue delivery that Randeep has adopted. That is his strength and he is playing it all well too.

"In fact this is something that got him brownie points in four back to back successes that he enjoyed in the form of Jism 2, Jannat 2, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangsterand Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. In each of these four films he has played a no-nonsense character who doesn't mind pulling a trigger when need be," comments an observer.

And now considering that Highway is a love story with a thriller element to it as well, there are all the chances of Randeep continuing with what he is best at. "However with petite Alia Bhatt coming into picture, there may just be something surprising in the offering, given the fact that this first time �jodi' is indeed different," says a source.

"Moreover Imtiaz's leading men are closer to reality than being dramatic, case in point being Abhay Deol (Socha Na Tha),Shahid Kapoor (Jab We Met), Saif Ali Khan (Love Aaj Kal) or Ranbir Kapoor (Rockstar). Also, producer Sajid Nadiadwala's films cater to a larger segment of audience instead of aiming at impressing niche audience. There is something interesting being planned with Randeep," adds the source.
