Jimmy Shergil Says I want to do a light-hearted film now

Jimmy Shergil, who has showcased his acting talent in different genre, right from romantic shy lad inMohabbatein to serious military officer in Yahan to gangster in Sahib, Biwi Aur Gangster and Tanu Weds Manu, wants to work in a comedy film now.

The actor is now looking to widen his horizons and try to deliver in comedy section. "I feel as an actor, you should do different roles. So, after doing all these serious roles in my films, I really want to do a light-hearted film. It will be a challenge for me," said Jimmy who struggled hard to get rid of the romantic hero image after the success of Mohabbatein.

The 42-year-old actor said, "I started my career with Maachis but Mohabbatein established me as an actor. I am grateful to the film but I never wanted the image of a romantic hero in Bollywood. It was a conscious decision to do serious roles to break that image."

The actor, who recently was seen in tennis star Leander Paes starrer Rajdhani Express, has wrapped up shooting for multi-starrer gangster dramaSpecial Chabbis starring Akshay Kumar andAnupam Kher and Tigmanshu Dhulia's Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster 2.

"Playing ATS officer in Rajdhani Express was a very unconventional story and had dark humor. I enjoyed shooting the film because my director Ashok Kohli is a lawyer by profession. He used to discuss about loopholes in the system," says the actor who is also working on Dhulia's next project Bullet Raja with Saif Ali Khan.
