Robyn Rihanna Fenty, known as Rihanna is a Barbadian singer, model and fashion designer

She also serves as the cultural ambassador for the island of Barbados. She is the first Barbadian artist to officially win a Grammy Award (Barbados born producer Jimmy Senya Haynes produced and arranged Babylon The Bandit for the band Steel Pulse, but he was never credited as a member of the band on the winner and nomination lists). Rihanna is currently signed to the Def Jam Recordings label. She has attained five Billboard Hot 100 number ones thus far and is currently tied with fellow singer and rival Beyoncé Knowles as the female solo artist with the most number ones in this decade.

Rihanna broke into the industry in 2005 with the release of her debut album Music of the Sun, which features her hit single "Pon de Replay". Less than a year later, Rihanna released A Girl Like Me and gave her first number-one single, "SOS". In 2007, Rihanna released her third studio album, Good Girl Gone Bad. The album has yielded six hit singles including three worldwide number one singles including "Umbrella", "Don't Stop the Music", and "Take a Bow". Since the release of her debut album, Rihanna has amassed twelve top 40 hit singles in the U.S.

Rihanna's Family Life:
Robyn Rihanna Fenty was born in St. Michael's Barbados, on February 20, 1988. She was a mixed of Caucasian Barbadian dad, Ronald Fenty, and a black Guyanese mom, Monica. Rihanna is the eldest of three siblings; her brothers are Rorrey and Rajad Fenty.
Her natural beauty was also dazzled that she won her school's beauty pageant.

She went into public school in the remote town. Her high school, Combermere, is similar to technical schools in America. Due to her hectic schedule, she got a home schooling with tutor who taught her 15 hours per week.

Growing up in a small bay city, she sang songs just for fun, she sang Mariah Carey's "Hero" at her school's talent show. As a teenager, she was just inspired by music divas such as Mariah Carey, Beyonce Knowles, and Alicia Keys. Unbeknown to her that someday she would be living in the same business and performing for as much audiences as her heroes.
Her path was paved when she met Evan Rogers in 2003; a New York music producer who was by chance went to Barbados for a Christmas vacation with his wife, a Barbadian too. Rogers was known for producing well-known artists such as Jessica Simpson, Christina Aguilera, Laura Pausini, Rod Stewart and Kelly Clarkson. He then offered her to go to New York to record some music demos that was shown to Def Jam CEO, Jay Z, soon afterwards.
Def Jam promptly signed her and they quickly put together some singles. Her debut single, "Pon de Replay", was initially aired in August 2005. The Carribean-rhythmed disco single immediately soared to the 2nd spot of Billboard Hot 100 chart, even before the album, Music of the Sun, was ever released. She toured along Gwen Stefani, being Gwen's opening act in her tour. Her following album, A Girl Like Me was then released in 2006. Her other popular songs include "SOS" and "Unfaithful".

Rihanna had been writing and singing her own songs. Her debut album was Music of the Sun and her sophomore is A Girl Like Me. Music of the Sun was sold over 500,000 copies in the U.S and around 2 million worldwide, earning it a Gold certification by the U.S' RIAA. Her second album includes "SOS" and "Unfaithful" which were listed in the Billboard's Hot 100.

Rihanna had appeared in several television shows, such as the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Regis and Kelly episodes, Punk'd, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Last Call with Carson Daly, the Today: Episode, and Ellen DeGeneres shows, either as a performer or a guest.

Rihanna Other Projects:
Besides singing and writing song lyrics, Rihanna also had numerous deals in the entertainment-related industry.
She signed endorsement deals with Nike and JC Penney in 2006. Her Nike deals include making her "SOS" song to be its commercial tune, which in turn boosted her single on top of Billboard's chart.
She also signed deals with CoverGirl to be their spokesperson in early December 2006. She also signed deals to be the endorser for Miss Bisou, LG, CoverGirl Cosmetics, Clinique perfume, and Chevrolet.
Other than appearing in ads, she also made her screen debut by becoming a cameo for the movie Bring It On: All or Nothing, which was released on August 8, 2006, she also appeared in an episode of All My Children (soap opera) and Las Vegas (drama).
Other than businesslike projects, she is also involved in several charity projects, such as AIDS charity for children and benefits for children with cancer.

In 2007, she is going to do some ads photos together with CoverGirl due to her 2006 contract.

Rihanna's achievements and Awards:
Rihanna was nominated for Best New Artist for her SOS single at the 2006 MTV VMA. In the 2006 MTV VMA Japan, she won Best New Artist in A Video for her Pon de Replay. And 2006: MuchMusic Video Awards gave her the title of Best International Artist.
2006 Teen Choice Awards also awarded her Female Breakout Artist and Choice R&B Artist. 2006 MTV Europe Music Awards named her as Best R&B Artist. Moreover, the 2006 Billboard Music Awards awarded her Pop 100 Artist of the Year and the 2006 World Music Awards awarded her Best Selling Barbados Artist.

The 2006 Billboard Music Awards awarded her Hot 100 Artist of the Year and Much Music named her as Hottest Female of 2006.

Rihanna Love Relationship:
Rihanna said that her career and personal life was like "99% to 1%, 99% being my career, there's 1% of my life which is personal, uh, and even in that 1%, my career always seems to find its way in there somewhere." She once has said in an interview that she is available.
