But the actress says she treats them like any other movie. "This is my third sequel. I treat them as any other movie. I don`t think it makes a difference in terms of how I would view my character. I think you make the most of it. But what`s great is that you can be part of, what I would call, a legacy. So you don`t mind that," she told IANS. Dilip Kumar looks back at a life of satisfaction and some surprise Mumbai: On his 90th birthday Tuesday, thespian Dilip Kumar, who has regaled scores of fans over decades, recalls his journey full of surprises with satisfaction and a smile. He says it was his patience and sense of choice that helped him lead a successful career. Q. You turn 90 on December 11. Ninety is just a number specially when one considers a life as well-lived as yours. Sir, as you look back what do you feel about the first 90 years of your life? A. I can look back at my life with a sense of satisfaction and some surprise at certain events that have added the twists and turns to an otherwise normal, serene life. Q. Dilip saab, in the 90 years which events would you regard as the greatest events and milestones in your astounding life? A. My entry into the profession of acting which was most unexpected. My marriage to a beautiful girl two score years younger with whom I had declined to co-star because she was too young to be my leading-lady, my decision to challenge myself by switching over to comedy when I was being hailed for my intense tragic roles that had evoked public esteem and adulation. Q. Every actor wants to be like you. You have defined fine and brilliant acting for six decades. You have spawned generations of admirers from Mr. Amitabh Bachchan to Shah Rukh Khan. How do you evaluate your own contribution as an actor? A. I have seriously pondered over this because the question has been put to me so many times. I guess it is a normal instinct to follow an example if you are drawn to it for whatever attributes you admire in that example. An actor should possess a strong instinct, besides a mind of his own and a striking personality. He should be able to absorb the positive and delete the negative from the influences that are bound to crowd his mind. The mind has to be respected and obeyed when it tells you to accept or reject an influence. Q. What qualities should an actor cultivate? A. It is not for me to generalize on the dos and don`ts. Every actor I watched in my formative years had his own individualistic qualities and assets. I had the discrimination fortunately at that age : I was only 20 : to decide that I had to be patient and pick only those films I liked to work in. There were times in the early phase of my career when I needed the big money that was being offered to me after some of my films became box office hits. But I resisted accepting them because I did not relate to those scripts and propositions. Q. Your refusal must have upset a lot of producers? A. The producers who came to me with those offers felt they had the role of a lifetime for me, a newcomer. They advised me that it was foolish to refuse the offers when the going was so good because in show business you have to show that you are in great demand and you are extremely busy. I could have been swayed by the talk but it was my basic strength of discrimination that helped me to be firm and go by what my mind told me to do. So if you judge from my career it is the quality of patience and discrimination that paid off. It cannot be the general thumb-rule because I know of actors who worked in six films simultaneously and were gloriously happy and relaxed. Q. Dilip saab, you have worked with the most exquisite actresses : from Madhubalaji to Sairaji. Who were your favourites, and why? A. I was never the one to choose my co-stars. That prerogative was the producer`s and director`s. When I teamed with Meena Kumari in `Azaad`, she was also changing gears (from serious roles to comedy). We hit it off in light-hearted acting and it encouraged the makers of `Kohinoor` to cast us again in lively roles. She made a delightful co-star and we got along well outside our work because we shared a taste for good Urdu poetry. Q. And Madhubala? A. Madhubala was very vivacious as an artist and person. It was in `Tarana` that our pairing became noticed, though most film lovers cherish her gorgeous screen presence in `Mughal-e-Azam`. Waheeda Rehman was wonderfully sprightly in `Ram Aur Shyam` and equally intense in `Dil Diya Dard Liya`. As for Saira, it was only when we began work in `Sagina` that I realised how capable Saira was. She handled the dramatic scenes with amazing confidence and with little help from me. It clearly demonstrated her latent potential that had remained untapped in all the romantic musicals she came to be adored for. Q. Who was your favourite co-star? A. I have consistently rated Nalini Jaywant as a formidable co-star. She was the only actress who could take me by surprise in the final take if I was not alert enough thanks to the natural spontaneity she possessed.

Keith Richards not driven by money Keith Richards claims money is not the 'driving force' behind The Rolling Stones. The legendary 'Brown Sugar' group came under fire when they announced tickets for their '50 and Counting' shows would cost between £95 and £375 per ticket in the UK, and their 2005 and 2007 A Bigger Bang Tour was, at that time, the highest grossing in history, but guitarist Keith Richards says the band are not motivated by cash. He said: 'We do it for ourselves. And I don't mean money-wise : of course you don't mind getting paid : but that is not the driving force behind this band. You can sit at home, do a bit of painting or writing or whatever. But there's a certain magnetic thing that says what I really want to do is play with Charlie Watts and Mick and Ronnie. That's the force that's indescribable. You put this bunch into a room with a bunch of microphones and some instruments and something is going to come out.' Keith is really pleased he's been able to get the band together for their '50 and Counting' shows, as he had been getting 'antsy' having not played with the band for so long. He added: 'let's face it, five years off the road, I was getting antsy. So Mick and I came up with a couple of songs. At first I said, 'Hey Mick, 'Doom and Gloom' is kind of a weird title for a 50 year celebration, you know?' But you know what The Stones are like, it's always against the grain.'

The judge overseeing the custody dispute between Halle and Gabe didn't think it was in Nahla's best interest for her to be moved halfway around the world to a foreign country, mainly because contact with her father would have drastically cut.' Halle, 46, and Gabriel have now reached an �amicable agreement' and are hoping to move forward for the sake of Nahla. A source said: �All parties wanted what was best for Nahla and that was the main goal of the settlement. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, Special Chabbis is a heist drama featuring Akshay Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal and Jimmy Shergill. Manoj has a very tough task on ahead, as in the film he plays the character that Akshay Kumar will be masquerading as in Neeraj Pandey's real-life heist drama Special Chabbis. To recap a bit, the film is based on the real-life daring heist in 1987 where an unknown man posing as CBI officer Mon Singh recruited 26 men and executed a daylight raid on the Opera House branch ofTribhuvandas Bhimji Jewellers, and disappeared with jewellery worth lakhs. Akshay has been recruited to play the imposer CBI officer. Now interestingly Manoj Bajpai has been roped in to play the real CBI officer. Manoj who hasn't played a cop since Shool and Jaago is very excited about getting the hang of a role.

Aamir Khan's TALAASH Movie earns Rs 60 crores in five days The collection of Reema Kagti's second directorial venture is double of what it was after the first two days The Aamir Khan-Kareena Kapoor-Rani Mukerji starrer Talaash is showing some impressive results at the box office. The film has raked in a total of Rs 59.6 crores net in five days, which is approximately double the figure of Rs 30.89 it had earned after the first two days. It means the movie has successfully earned Rs 30 crores approximately in just three days. We are impressed! Going by the ratio, trade experts believe that the psychological suspense drama will cross Rs 70 crores in the first week. "Expecting Talaash to break 3 Idiots record would be foolhardy, as the movie caters to a niche audience. It's more of a multiplex film. Also, suspense thrillers have their limitations as far as BO revenue is concerned," points out Taran Adarsh, further adding, "The film has comfortably crossed Rs 50 crores in four days on the sheer strength of its multiplex business. It's faring exceptionally well overseas too and if it sustains in its second weekend, it should be a safe bet for its producers and of course,Aamir." If we tally both the domestic and international box office figures, the film's earned Rs 87 crores net so far. And the trade is quite hopeful of the movie raking in Rs 10 crores (in India) and Rs 5 crores (overseas) in the remaining two days, before Khiladi 786 hits the screens. Even though her family and close friends, and the hospital authorities tried to keep her illness under wraps, word leaked out that Manisha was suffering from ovarian cancer. For the first time since this news broke out, Manisha has communicated with her fans via Twitter. "Dear friends thank you for all your wishes..I m in good place n in good hands..with all your love n prayers I m sure I ll recover..it was shocking to know but then life is full of surprises..one must deal with it n move on with faith n dignity..what ever is th out come its for best..I know that..so pl don't worry..I have had a beautiful life so far n I know,what ever will happen will all be good..thank you from bottom of my heart for your prayers..love m koirala," she tweeted. Later, the actor went on to tell her fans not to feel sad, and thanked them for their prayers.
