Cold war starts off between Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukerji

Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukerji have always stated to be friends; and one could even see the two divas together promoting their last release Talaash, also starring Aamir Khan.

But now as the film is out and the promotional work is all done, sources claim that the two have taken the road to animosity. If the rumors are to be believed, the actors have started avoiding each other at public events.

The cold war between the ladies has just started and as per a source, "There were cold vibes between them while promoting the film in Delhi. Aamir, who was there too, played the mediator."

Source went on to add, "Talaash did well at the box-office, but Rani and Kareena's friendship soured after the reviews came out. Though Kareena had the bigger role in the film, Rani's acting garnered more appreciation. That could be one of the reasons for this." In fact, the two didn't come face to face at the recently held success party for the film. Source added, "Kareena was at the party till about 11.30 pm. And Rani walked in 10 minutes after Kareena left."

Rani Mukerji's spokesperson says, "We don't know where these stories originate from. The people who were there during the filming and the promotional interviews are aware of the love and respect Rani and Kareena have for each other. Both have met socially over the last 10 years, since their first film, Mujhse Dosti Karoge! (2002)."
