Irrfan wants Haasil to be remade There is no doubt over the fact that actor Irrfan Khan is in the golden period of his life. Recently, his film Life of Pi won an Oscar award and his next film Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns, is also all set to hit the big screens soon. At present several rumours have been making rounds about him being unable to do his thick buddy Tigmanshu Dhulia's Bullet Raja owing to date issues. Due to the same, a replacement is being sought by the director. However, Irrfan quashes all rumours between the two, saying that he wants Dhulia's film Haasil to be remade. Last Irrfan worked with Dhulia in Paan Singh Tomar. "Haasil (2003) is the film that first brought Irrfan and Tigmanshu together. It was the filmmaker's first outing while Irrfan too was not as big a name then as he is today. On its release, the film hadn't done well commercially. However over the decade gone by, it has found a cult following for itself on home video and satellite circuits. "Since it is widely acknowledged as one of the best student politics film since Ram Gopal Varma�s Shiva, there has been widespread interest amongst quite a few filmmakers to bring back the script in a revised format. Irrfan too feels that it is high time that the film is revisited," informs a source. Admits Irrfan, "Yes, Haasil is one film that I want to be remade. Back then when the film had released, not many multiplexes were there and audience was not really enjoying films in theatres. I am pretty sure that if today's generation watches Haasil, it will get what it deserves. It would be unique entertainment for them and the film's content would also finally get what it truly deserves." 3 Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns is scheduled for March 8th release!
