During the press meet held recently in Chennai, he said that though he had featured in a number of documentaries before, Thaandavam is his first feature film.
One of the roles played by Vikram in this film is that of a blind man and director AL Vijay had drawn inspiration for this particular role from Daniel Kish. Vikram came to know about echo-location and how it helps the visually challenged to carry on a normal life just like the others.
Speaking at this event, Daniel Kish said that he runs a network known as the World Access for the Blind which conduct workshops throughout the globe to help the visually impaired benefit from echo-location.
