Ukraine-born Smirnoff, who once competed professionally for the U.K., would love to snag a Brit on the show - and has very fond memories of Englishmen during her 18-month stay in London over a decade ago.
And so the dancer has her fingers crossed for a ballroom blitz with Blair.
She tells WENN, "I read online that the producers were trying to get Tony Blair to do the show and I read that they would pair him with me, which would be pretty amazing.
"I could actually pick a world leader's brain. I really hope he's a closet ballroom dancer."
