Will Shahrukh Khan's security be reinstated by Mumbai Police At least, that's what the buzz is all about right now� Shahrukh Khan's security : comprising eight constables working in shifts : was relaxed because a recent review concluded that there wasn't any security threat to the Baadshah anymore. But politics has raised its ugly head and it led to a war of words between Pakistan's Interior Minister Rehman Malik and India's Home Secretary RK Singh, who had a verbal dual over the superstar's security. Now, insiders reveal that Mumbai Police might reinstate Shahrukh's security. And if so, it could be because of the statement issued by the Home Secretary that said: "We are capable of looking after our own citizen, let him (Rehman Malik) worry about the security of his country's citizen." Does that ease the worry lines on Pakistan's Interior Minister's forehead? We hope so. Stay clued in to this space for more updates on this one. 
Can you recognise Priyanka Chopra Deewana Main Deewana trailer The Barfi! actor's looks shuffle between garish make-up, uncool outfits and her current superglam avatar A 20-year-old Priyanka Chopra signed a film titled Pyar Jhukta Nahin directed by KC Bokadia in 2003 opposite Govinda, who was trying to hold on to his flailing career at that point, shot for a few months and then forgot about it. At 30, PeeCee : one of the most successful B-town ladies today : wakes up to find out that from nowhere, this embarrassing movie : now called Deewana Main Deewana (what difference does it make really?) : that was stuck for 10 years, has been dug out of its grave and readied for release on February 1. We do admire PeeCee's guts to stand by the project, even reshoot some of her portions and help the director release this outdated film. But why would you and I actually buy a multiplex ticket to catch a Priyanka movie that looks rehashed and stale? Wouldn't we rather watch Barfi! again? And why would you even want to watch the trailer of a film that brings back memories of all things unpleasant about small-budget capers from the early 2000s? For comic relief of course! So I watched this trailer in good humour. But a dusky Priyanka wearing garish make-up (that makes her look like a ghost from an earlier decade) and bright blue sharara pants, and grooving to some of the most banal dance steps is still a nightmare, isn't it? And then, a few newly shot portions of the actor have been inserted just to cash in on her current look. Are we schizophrenic? We had, with some amount of hard work, managed to forget about a certain Ms Chopra who struggled to get her looks right during her initial days. The television reruns of her earlier films like Andaz, Barsaat,Kismat and Asambhav make us cringe even now. Anyway, getting back to the trailer� PeeCee : today's red carpet star with her super glamorous image, stylish Armani gowns and Jimmy Choo shoes : is seen walking into scenes in cheesy salwar kameez, denim caps, head band, cheap bright lipstick, old fashioned hairstyle and a really outdated nose. Guess she's trying to match Govinda's unique style sense in this one. Deewana Main Deewana is supposed to be a thriller, yes indeed, a movie to be watched for the cheap thrills of witnessing an odd couple : a pot-bellied Govinda and an alien Priyanka coochie coo on the big screen! 
Salman Khan's hit and run case Court orders enquiry into the delay in trial A magistrate court in Mumbai has ordered a detailed enquiry into the allegations of deliberate delay in theDabangg star's hit-and-run case trial When Salman Khan was summoned by the court for the trial of his infamous 2002 hit-and-run case on December 27, 2012, which was incidentally his 47th birthday, the superstar did not turn up. Instead, his sister Alvira Agnihotri and Arpita Khan appeared in court with lawyer Dipesh Mehta to file a petition that sought an exemption on Sallu's behalf. And surprisingly, this request was accepted by the court. Petitioner Abha Singh, who had alleged that the police and the judiciary are working hand in glove to protect the actor, demanded an enquiry into the alleged delay in the trial. "He (Salman) is making movies and earning money but not coming to court," said Singh about the actor whose SUV had rammed into a bakery in suburban Bandra, killing one and injuring four people who were sleeping on the pavement outside 10 years ago. True to Singh's claims, Salman was seen partying in the city even though the Mumbai police were searching for the star all over the city. Singh also said in court that the police had taken a good 24 days to serve the court summons to Salman, claiming that he was not in the city. The Dabangg dude was accused of culpable homicide not amounting to murder. But the Bombay High Court then reduced the charges to rash and negligent driving, which was challenged by Abha Singh. And now a magistrate's court in Mumbai has ordered an enquiry into the allegations of deliberate delay in actor Salman Khan's trial. The Mumbai police in their reply have filed a statement in court denying any delay in the trial process. The court has set March 5 as the next date for hearing.

Hrithik Roshan chooses to stay away from Shahrukh Khan's security controversy The Krrish 3 superstar chose to play safe when probed about the controversy surrounding Shahrukh Khan's security in India Looks like Hrithik Roshan is in no mood to voice his opinion on the controversy that has got the entire nation into a debate mode. When asked if he supported Shahrukh Khan's claim that he sometimes becomes the inadvertent object of political leaders, and therefore needs security in India, Hrithik gave a rather lame reply. "I am a god guy. I support everyone," said the 39-year-old actor in a press conference. Clearly, Hrithik brushed away the question and refused to give his concrete stand on the issue that has got his good friend SRK into trouble. Shahrukh, in his recent interview to Outlook Turning Points magazine, had talked about being a Muslim in India, following which Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Saeed said that the actor was welcome to stay in Pakistan if he felt insecure in India. This episode sparked a debate in the country. SRK however has clarified that he never felt insecure in India and also maintained that he is an Indian first and Humanity is his religion.

CBI wants a special screening of Special 26 before release Khiladi Kumar's latest con flick will be reviewed specially by the investigative agency before clearing it for release Until now, it was only the Censor Board that was known for its high-handed and at times bizarre behaviour, culling down scenes for frivolous reasons and trampling on creative freedom. And now, joining the bandwagon in yet another case of assault on creative freedom is the CBI! The nation's premier investigating agency has apparently started to feel a little queasy considering the upcoming Akshay Kumar movie Special 26, is a crime-comedy, based on a true 1983 story where a group of conmen, posed as CBI agents and duped jewelers. And in this Neeraj Pandey film, Akshay plays one of the conmen while Manoj Bajpayee is the CBI officer. So now, the CBI will be attending a special screening of the movie to see if they are shown in poor light or not, and also will share their apprehensions, if any, with the makers. Well, this is a little weird, considering there are scores of movies that have been made based on real life police cases, and the police aren't shown as saviours all the time! Tch tch. Anyway, for Akki's sake, we hope that the CBI doesn't find anything too �objectionable' in the movie which they think might put their shining reputation at stake!

By now definitely you all would have guessed that we're referring to the popular jodi of Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi, which made us rolling in the floor laughing while watching Munnabhai series. And we guess, Arshad is very well aware of this fact, and has only good things to say about Sanjay Dutt. The actor says it is a privilege to work with Sanjay Dutt. The great pairing of Munnabhai will once again share screen space in Zila Ghaziabad. Arshad says it is a privilege to work with an actor as secure as Sanjay. "When you work with any actor, your comfort level is more when that particular actor is secure, and Sanju is very secure� He does not worry at all," Arshad, 44, said on Friday at the movie's music launch. Arshad Warsi has worked with Sanjay Dutt in films like Munnabhai M.B.B.S, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Dhamaal, Double Dhamaal, Anthony Kaun Hai and Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi! He has only good things to say about Sanjay Dutt. "He gives you freedom to do whatever you want to do and that is a privilege that very few actors get. I have the privilege and I am happy about that," says Arshad. Directed by Anand Kumar, Zila Ghaziabad, releasing February 22, is a political action thriller and also features Vivek Oberoi, Minissha Lamba and Ravi Kishan. 
Priyanka Chopra admits being direction dyslexic Priyanka Chopra, who travels with an entourage, says she would be entirely lost if any of the key members of her team are found missing even for a single day. While PC might have played strong characters on the silver screen, but off screen the pop sensation admits being direction dyslexia. She confessed that she needs her driver Maqsood, her agent Natasha and others with her because she suffers from direction dyslexia and cannot find addresses and locations on her own, even if she has been to those places a dozen times before. Meanwhile, she is completely focused on her singing career too and is ready to take any risk. Speaking of the same, she said, "A girl can be in a super-comfort zone and do well in Bollywood. She just has to make sure she looks good," she says. She has chosen to do more. She has often gone against conventional wisdom with roles that won her critical acclaim. She added, "I have always been someone who wants to try out new things. I like to be different. I was too shy to do singing parts in my films, even though producers suggested it. So when Universal Music Group and DesiHits approached me, I was skeptical, but then I thought, why not try it? I started going to the studios. Slowly Interscope [Records] came onboard and then [Moroccan music executive] RedOne and today, it's become such a big project". Well, we hope you keep blooming this way! 
What is the problem with Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam In spite of getting clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification, Kamal Haasan's mega-ambitious movie faces a ban from the Tamil Nadu government. Is this move justified? Can the state impose this kind of diktat on films, or is there more to the whole issue than meets the eye? We dissect the controversy to find out what exactly made Vishwaroopam attract so much of the wrong kind of attention�. It all started when Kamal Haasan's decision to release his magnum opus Vishwaroopam on the DTH platform (Direct-to-Home) set the industry abuzz. The 58-year-old actor-filmmaker defended his move to introduce the film in pay-per-view mode on DTH networks on the day of its theatrical release. What Haasan thought would be an innovative move to earn money through a novel and legitimate avenue bothered producers and exhibitors from the industry who were apprehensive about the result of this newer technology that could eat into the profits they would have made by screening the film in theatres alone. As per Haasan's innovative concept, the film would have been screened on DTH eight hours before its theatrical release at the cost of Rs 1,000 per viewing. In doing so, the superstar wanted to take his film : as well as the whole experience of movie watching : to a newer level and also wanted to curb rampant video piracy. But his opponents, mostly film exhibitors and distributors, argued that this �technologically-sound' move could have killed any curiosity about the film, and therefore affect potential business, even if producers were more than excited to explore the idea. As the debate raged on and Haasan refused to relent, the film faced newer hassles on the eve of its release. Finally, after much argument, the movie lost its distribution channel and the idea of the DTH premiere had to be shelved. But Vishwaroopam found itself embroiled in a newer controversy when it faced the state-imposed ban following a new brouhaha. Some Muslim organisations in states like Tamil Nadu thought that the film portrayed their community in a negative light. The screening of the film was subsequently stopped in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and recently even in Malaysia. Interestingly and ironically, even though the Central Board of Film Certification has cleared the movie for viewing a ban has been imposed by the state government without consulting any expert body. Meanwhile, Haasan has received enormous support from the film fraternity, including southern superstarRajiniknath, who has urged Muslims to end the controversy through peaceful talks. Kamal Haasan's fans and those who attended the special screening of Vishwaroopam are of the opinion that the film has not portrayed Muslims in a bad light. And, they insist, the veteran actor has not tried to link the community with terrorism. The entire episode has been tinged with a political colour now. Is the ban politically motivated, is the question being raised. In this scenario the possibility of Haasan's detractors : some powerful exhibitors as well as distributors working in tandem with political parties, each trying to milk the controversy to fulfil their own agendas : can not be ruled out. Amidst this confusion, liberally peppered with allegations and counter-allegations, the Madras High Court deferred its order till Tuesday. That means the movie will be stopped from screening for at least the next two weeks. The court has also suggested that Kamal Haasan should engage with the group opposing the film and find an amicable way to deal with the issue. While we at Youthgossip condemn censorship of this kind in any context, we are curious to know what the outcome of this argument will be. And, of course, we look forward to watching Vishwaroopam, controversies and all!

A source revealed to The Youthgossip.com : 'Robbie is thrilled : he is Best Man and will sing. There's talk he will do the first dance, maybe something during the ceremony too.' Harry Styles, 18, told the Youthgossip.com : �We all had moments. If you get involved in it and you don't cry you're superhuman. We've seen appeal films before so we thought we knew what it's like, but when you're there and you get the smells, your eyes hurt from the smoke, you cough, you're feeling it all. �The crazy thing is, when I went to school, not one person wanted to be there. Yet you go into a school in Ghana and every child loves it.' The band : Harry, Niall Horan, 19, Zayn Malik, 20, Liam Payne, 19, and Louis Tomlinson, 21 : are used to sparing no expense on their music videos but opted to film the charity video themselves. Niall explained: �We didn't want to make a massive expensive video because that's just a big waste of money. So we kinda made it ourselves.' The 65-year-old singer and his partner David Furnish recently welcomed their son Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John : who was born to a surrogate mother on January 11 : and have admitted they feel far more confident about their parenting skills than they did with their first son Zachary. Elton told Youthgossip.com : �We tried to create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We were excited at the prospect of Elijah's birth as we were at the prospect of Zachary's : but much less nervous.' David added: �I would say we feel more secure in our parenting skills now : it's far less scary than the first time 'round!' The couple : who entered into a civil partnership eight years ago : intend to be open with Elijah about the unusual circumstances of his birth after using the same surrogate for both boys, and have lovingly put together a scrapbook filled with mementos from the last nine months. David, 50, explained: �We kept a scrapbook for Zachary with all his scans, emails with the surrogate and key moments from the surrogacy, and we are doing the same for Elijah. We want the boys to understand the spirit and love that was at the heart of the process.' The showbiz pair are overjoyed with the new addition to their family and have vowed to always give their sons constant love and support, no matter what decisions they might make in life. David added: �All we hope is that Zachary and Elijah are healthy and happy. They will always be able to rely on us for total love and support, and we hope they grow up to live their own lives and be who they want to be, not who we want them to be.' Elton and David will stay in Los Angeles for a few months before returning to their luxury home in Windsor, England.

Patrick says his connection with Larry will last forever and everyone on set is trying to move ahead since his passing. He added: �I respect the ongoing friendship I have with him that will last in my life until I die. It's just my little moment. If I could have a glass of champagne with him I would. Everybody loved and respected him so much, and we have this sense that we're still doing Larry's show. That's the best way to do it. It's not shoulders down or sad or solemn : it's just some inappropriate humour that keeps his spirit going really high on set.'

It couldn't be further from how I am; nothing matters to me more than my children.' Lately people have been coming to me about animals. �We recently got a puppy and a kitten. The kitten's a Tonkinese, a sort of cross between a Siamese and Burmese. The boys have called him Warwick. �But I tend not to dole out advice left, right and centre. I find in the end that people know the answer, you know? Sometimes people just have to talk things out, so that they can come to the conclusions themselves.' As well as advice on animals, Cate is also regularly approached about relationships and she thinks it's because people trust her as she has been married to Andrew since December 1997. The 51-year-old star, who rose to fame as co-writer and star of hit series �The Office', also insisted his latest work isn't a parody of disabled people and it is not as controversial as it has been made out to be. He said: �I have never thought of Derek as disabled. I never understood it when they started trying to second guess. Some are saying, �He is autistic, no he has Down's Syndrome.' No. If I say he is not meant to be [disabled], he is not meant to be. It's as simple as that. �I don't think this is controversial. I don't think �Extras' was.
