Ileana's Bollywood Dreams - Bollywood News - FamousCelebrityPicture.com
It is no longer surprising if an actress from the south wants to make Mumbai her home. Telegu actress Ileana D'cruz, who made her entry into Bollywood with the extraordinary Barfi feels at home in Mumbai and has decided to settle here and make it big in the Hindi film industry. She has managed to make her mark with Barfi, being casted with the talented Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. The beautiful Ileana says, "I have decided to shift to Mumbai in the next couple of months and this is no sudden decision. I had consciously decided to move here when I signed Barfi, and that is why I didn't take up any Telegu film then. Barfi has simply encouraged my decision for settling in Mumbai and now I will be focussing on my career in Bollywood." Ileana is house hunting at present and has fixed on dividing her time between South and Mumbai. Her Telegu fan following is wondering if she will leave Telegu cinema now, but she says that is not possible as she loves that culture and that cinema is what has made her who she is today. "I am proud of Telegu films and now being a part of Hindi cinema is just what I wanted. The best part is both these cultures are so different that it is going to be fun to balance between them," she chuckles. About when she has to choose one of the two, Ileana says she will take it as it comes, and trust her instincts. "I never wanted to do something as unconventional as Barfi for my debut, but then glamour is the normal route. When I got to know about my role as a Bengali woman I was very unsure about how I will be able to carry it off, but my gut feelings said I can do it. And here I am, ecstatic about the success of Barfi and proud to be a part of it," she happily says. Ileana also says it was something so different from what she usually has been doing in Telegu cinema, and of course, it was culturally very different too. "Frankly, I didn't go through any preparation for my character and did exactly what Anurag instructed me to do. It was a difficult character to put across but I am very happy with the outcome," she says. She is contract bound for one more film with UTV but she is free to work with whoever she wants to. She is also working on her Hindi, but still cannot converse freely with confidence. In fact, she has dubbed her own lines for Barfi. The stunning Ileana is apparently the highest paid actress in Telegu to which she says that she deserves what she gets. Her family lives in Goa, so that is not really a holiday destination for her. "Goa is home for me. But my sister is married and stays in Mumbai, so I have two homes," she giggles. HOT MODELS BIKINI PHOTO SHOOT PICTURES
Arjun Rampal: "It's not that these characters are the only ones caught in the Chakravyuh (Trap) it's this country that is caught in this dilemma" - Bollywood News - FamousCelebrityPicture.com
Prakash Jha's next film, Chakravyuh (A War You Cannot Escape), turns the camera's focus to the Naxalite war that is taking place in the interior villages and forests of India. In his director's notes, Prakash Jha says "I have tried to chronicle this conflict by telling the story of two friends, who eventually find themselves on opposing sides of this conflict. I have made this film to bring this conflict into public focus." The great Arjun Rampal plays one of those friends Adil Khan. Adil Khan is a cop who is brought in to try and bring law and order. His conflict comes when his best friend, played by Abhay Deol, joins the other side. Chakravyuh, which also stars Manoj Bajpayee and Esha Gupta, makes its world premiere at the prestigious BFI London Film Festival on Thursday, October 11th and then hits its worldwide release on October 24th. I got the incredible chance to chat with Mr. Rampal about Chakravyuh and what was so amazing (besides that voice) is that it felt more like a conversation about a film he is very passionate about than an interview. Read on to see what I learned about Chakravyuh. What goes into your decision of what roles you want to do? You know people ask me that and I've asked myself that question many times and the answer is very simple : roles and parts, which scare me I think, is what I do. That's how I do everything in life. I think all those decisions that I was scared about getting into and there was a fear, kind of filled a void somewhere within me. I overcame it and enjoyed it. I think that's what really is the biggest challenge. When you take on a film, if a character really scares you then you know that you are not going to take it lightly, you are going to give it all, because the only reason you would be scared is when you are not confident enough to do it. Every time I go into a film I am the most shaky and the least confident and slowly it builds up and I overcome my fear and I do it. And I imagine it also helps you build the character Yes, yes because then you really think about it. Otherwise if you think it's going to be easy then you don't. You know every character that I have thought it's going to be a cakewalk and easy, those have been performances that even I've cringed at. Who to you is your character Adil? Adil Khan I think is the ultimate idealist. He is a very straightforward, very pure, very deep, very intense police officer who really believes in his job and his duty and being upright and behaving correctly. He's the 3rd generation police officer from his family and he's always wanted to be this person. He really loves his country. He is put into a situation where he's sent into an area where there is a lot of disturbance in terms of the Naxal movement that is happening within the country, this is real situation that you read about it all the time. He's gone there to bring a certain amount of law and order in that place. But the film really is about a friendship, friendship of two boys who really are very close to each other, have got a very strong bond, and are not gay but are (Laughs) very fond of each other. They are like brothers. He's put into a dilemma when his friend goes to the other side. I think that that is what gridlocks the two very strong points of views of the film. One coming from the Naxal side and then the point of view coming from outside, which says yes there is a problem but the way that these people are dealing with the problem is not correct. That is, the guy who takes the power at gunpoint, you have to think how he's going to rule you. It's very practical, very pragmatic and very interesting arguments that happen. At the same time there is a tremendous amount of information and education that goes out to the audience watching to say, oh my God this is really what is happening within our country, which is something we should not be ignoring. Prakash Jha seems to do that in his films. We always see the two sides and get tremendous amounts of information Yes we do. He researches tremendously and his research is incredible. The good part is in Chakravyuh he's not taken any side : he doesn't pick sides. He throws it out there to the audience to say this is what you are living in and that's why the film is called Chakravyuh. It's not that these characters are the only ones who are caught in the Chakravyuh. Chakravyuh is like a trap. It's this country that is caught in this dilemma it's not just these characters. It's you who is living this everyday. It's the audience who's watching. I think what Prakash is great at is giving you a very topical subject and treating it extremely entertainingly. The films like a thriller that keeps you at the edge of your seat. The dialogues are very intense. You'll say: oh no he's right, then you'll say oh know he's right, so you don't know which side to take, and that makes it engaging for the audience and that makes the film entertaining. I think it's a very entertaining clever film with a good script. Now, how does Prakash Jha work with you to prepare you for roles like this? He tells you that he's going to put a lot of fear into you the day he comes to meet you (Laughs). He says okay are you ready for this?' And then he takes you through the script and story. He's such an amazing narrator and he's so passionate. He's spent like 7 years doing the script and he keeps making them better and better and better until he says ok fine now I got to make this into a movie'. So that tremendous amount of research is what he shares with you. You always learn a lot from his films when you do them. You walk out feeling creatively satisfied, he promises you to go through that experience. He'll take you to the toughest of terrains to shoot in, which we've shot in. He will not exhaust you on your shooting days because he is very well planned. He knows exactly how much he wants, he doesn't get greedy about that. He never directs you on set but he will love for you to sit there and do a lot of readings with him before you go into the making of the film. That's the kind of director he is. But once you are on set he's given you the freedom to do what you really want to do and he leaves it to you. So there is no pressure when you are on set. But before we go on there he's a complete taskmaster. He'll go through every single thing very minutely and he's a stickler for detailing, which I like. It helps you get into the character not to have to worry while you are shooting you are ready Yeah, so before you go you already know what you are getting into. So when you are there and the environment you create and the setting he gives you and everything that he has created out there for you to perform in is all real and is so believable that it just automatically enhances everything; all that work that you've done. I know that a lot of this was shot in the remote areas in a jungle, tell us about shooting there. Yeah, it's a really tough terrain. I knew it was going to be tough so I think I've been the physically fittest through this film while shooting it. I got the whole unit really physically fit as well because I carried my whole gym, Prakash carried his dumb bells and everything as well and we used to all go and work out a lot. We used to do a lot of cycling. It was a beautiful location where we shot. Incredible terrain, incredible. It was wonderful; because it was just in the forest which I think is one of the densest forests in India, just looks like the Amazon forests you know. Yeah it's really beautiful and it was lovely to be part of nature like that. We'd heard about some tiger sightings, we'd heard about some Naxal sightings (Laughs), you know all these things were there but it was really exciting. We were really there for a month and a half and yes it was during summer, shooting in heat that was like 55 degrees (Celsius). But I don't know, it went through well. I don't think anybody complained that it was tough. The unit was very, very together. It was a really strong, tough crew that we had. But again with Prakash he would start shooting early in the morning and then we wouldn't shoot when there is the peak heat like in 2 in the afternoon or whatever when the top light gets too high. And then maybe shoot like at about 4-5 and then we'd get back home. So it was because of his planning you never felt exhausted, you never felt completely drained. And we'd come back, we'd work out, spend some time together, get to bed early, it was a great routine. What did you take away from this film and this story? Oh plenty, really a lot. I mean I learnt a lot about this movement. I learnt a lot about what is happening in the interiors of India. I've seen the living conditions with people and how they live in because we've shot in real villages. I've seen the diversity that is there, which is so large and vast which really needs to be bridged between the haves and the have-nots in this country. At the same time I've learnt so much more about what I do as an actor. There's so much that I learnt about Prakash, made much more stronger bonds. I take away a lot. I take away a lot of good friendships, great memories. I've come out of there feeling much wiser about the subject that we've shot and excited for people who'll get to see something that is really different, entertaining, and at the same time its going to through open many point of views about how to come up with solutions for something like this. What's next on your film shooting schedule? There's a film of mine that I completed with Sudhir Mishra called Inkaar. I am going to start filming from the 1st of October for Nikhil Advani. Nikhil Advani's is a complete action film and I play spy and a RAW agent. And yeah it's fun and I'm very excited because Tom Struthers who did the action for The Dark Knight, Inception, and Blood Diamond, is doing the action for this film. So it's going to be a lot of fun. I've been training a lot for that. So I get into that and then next I do a film called The Villain and that's with a new director. Then I come back to my favourite director Prakash Jha for Satyagrah. I would like to thank Mr. Rampal for the chat and to say I can't wait to see him in this role and to see Chakravyuh. Stay tuned for a report about the gala premiere as well as my interviews with Prakash Jha and Manoj Bajpayee coming up soon only on BollySpice.com. HOT MODELS BIKINI PHOTO SHOOT PICTURES
Mani Ratnam and Aishwarya Rai are not teaming up - Bollywood News - FamousCelebrityPicture.com
Here is a little disappointing news for all the Aishwarya Rai fans out there. The reports doing the rounds about Aish starring in Mani Ratnam's adaptation of Daphne Du Maurier's famous 1938 novel Rebecca have been rubbished by Mani's wife Suhasini. Suhasini denied the reports and said that right now Mani is caught up with completing his shoot for Kadal, which has a 7 day schedule left after which he needs a good 8 months to write his next script. "He is not focussing on new releases for quite some time now, so any news until his next script is ready will be false," she stated. Another close source of Mani Ratnam told us that he is busy with the post production work of Kadal and has no time to think about the next film for now. "All stories about his next film with Aish are just rumours," he confirmed. Aishwarya was introduced to films by Mani Ratnam in the Tamil movie, Iruvar and since then she has done quite a few movies with him, including Guru(2007) and Raavan(2010). Everyone is waiting for Aish to make her comeback post pregnancy, but the new mother wants to spend more time with her offspring Aaradhya who is now 10 months old. Reportedly, Aish is in no hurry to return to movies and will take her time to make a comeback. HOT MODELS BIKINI PHOTO SHOOT PICTURES
Emraan's journey through Journalism! - Bollywood News - FamousCelebrityPicture.com
Largely known for his smooching on-screen, Mr Emraan the serial-kisser' Hashmi has taken up a new interest : Journalism! The 33 year-old took up the new interest, not because of his personal interest in the subject, but for professional reasons, as Hashmi is researching into the field in preparation for his role in the late Shamin Desai's Rush. What dedication and professionalism, we say! About his character Emraan explains, "I play a morally correct and honest journalist who doesn't deviate from his philosophy, but later on falls into a trap when he accepts a lucrative offer from an upcoming news channel. He realises that the channel has not only been sensationalising and fabricating news, but also orchestrating crime for TRP." So has researching into Journalism changed his perspective of the field? "I have always found a journalist's job very exciting, but now I realise that it is very, very tough, especially that of a news anchor. My character has to multi-task and also remain focused all the time. But it was a great experience sitting behind the news desk, reading from the teleprompter, handling a panel of guests, conducting interviews, interacting with the audience phew!" he stated. What exactly is the film about? Emraan adds, "Rush is fictional and yet relatable. There are some bizarre situations when we show the business of news getting ugly. But the film is way ahead of its time with the USP being its brilliant concept." About the film, Precept Pictures also stated, "We are very excited to release the film on Eid. Though our audience isn't limited to single screens, knowing Emraan's fan following, we hope to get good business in those centres." The thriller, Rush is due to release around Eid time on October the 24th, and stars Emraan Hashmi and Neha Dhupia alongside Chak De! India's, Sagarika Ghatge. Pritam is the film's music director and the soundtrack will feature some songs by the likes of Bhangra artist Jazzy B, Hard Kaur and Tulsi Kumar among others. HOT MODELS BIKINI PHOTO SHOOT PICTURES
Kismet Love Paisa Dilli Movie Review - Bollywood News - FamousCelebrityPicture.com
Sanjay Khanduri who gave us Ek Chalis Ki Last Local returns to the screens with another tale that spans over only one night. Kismet Love Paisa Dilli also is a story of two strangers whose paths cross when they miss the same last local on a night in Delhi. Unfortunately for Sanjay and the audience, KLPD is neither as sophisticated, thrilling nor as comical as Ek Chalis was. Lokesh (Vivek Oberoi) and Lovina (Mallika Sherawat) bump into each other on the streets of Delhi when they both miss the same last local. Lokesh is already in a lot of trouble much before him meeting Lovina and how it all progresses to an end all in one night is what KLPD is all about. One truly doesn't know why Mr Khanduri felt the need to pack an otherwise okay thriller with crass, insensitive and plain gross jokes. They do nothing but make you uncomfortable and most definitely don't make you laugh in the slightest bit. Apart from the so-called comic sequences that annoy you to no end the film also encompasses: ridiculous sidekicks such as the superhero delivery boy, a random don with his irritating sidekicks and forced Delhite lingo. Combine all of the above and you have what is without a doubt the most unbearable film of the year. Harsh words you think? Give the film a try and you'll think otherwise. It perhaps wouldn't have been as unbearable had the narrative been a speedy one but instead the makers choose to subject you to a slow and painful torture. KLPD also suffers from a severe case of disjointed scenes and situations. In the midst of a cat and mouse chase the leading pair conveniently land in a Punjabi wedding, which gives an opportunity for the usual girl-versus-boy arguments, pretty Desi outfits and a song and dance sequence. Vivek fans are likely to exit the cinema hall sobbing. Where on earth is the actor whom we were in awe of after films like Company, Saathiya and Yuva? You get a very slight glimpse of him in the climax but that is about it. It would be interesting to see what this film looked like on paper because upon watching the film you simply don't know why anyone would agree to be a part of it! Mallika Sherawat makes a rare appearance in a mainstream Hindi movie in which she's not well being Mallika! There's definitely potential for the girl if she puts aside the so-called bold image she's forced herself to adopt and focuses on acting. The most unfortunate thing about KLPD is the fact that it is based on a decent political premise. Basis for all the problems that Lokesh and Lovina face could have been encompassed in a more than decent film but sadly the makers wanted to destroy their own idea to such a great extent. If only had it been treated as a serious thriller and not a ridiculous comical thriller loaded with lewd jokes and ridiculous characters. No doubt this is one film in which audiences will exercise their inherent right to walk out of a film. Save yourself the torture and re-watch Ek Chalis Ki Last Local because KLPD is a tweaked version of Khanduri's earlier outing and simply doesn't deserve your time or money. Kajol, Anushka, Rani in Chennai Express? - Bollywood News - FamousCelebrityPicture.com
For Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express , after much speculation, the actress that landed the coveted role opposite Shah Rukh Khan is Deepika Padukone, but will we see Kajol, Anushka Sharma, and Rani Mukherjee romance SRK too? We hear that is a distinct possibility! An insider told HT, "The storyline requires three more female actors besides Deepika to play SRK's girlfriends in special appearances. So besides Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan might be romancing three of his previous leading ladies in Rohit Shetty's next. They have decided to rope in Kajol, Anushka and Rani, since they have already worked with him in the past. It will help build excitement about the film." Apparently talks are on with all three actresses. However, before you get to jumping up and down with excitement this is not confirmed, "It's unlikely that the makers would comment on it now as everything is being kept under wraps. But if all goes well, Kajol, Rani and Anushka would shoot their part within a couple of months." All we can say is YES please! Stay tuned we will be bringing you more about this exciting story! About the film Rohit Shetty told Screen Weekly, "It's a hard-core commercial film with a romantic angle. The story is about this man's travel from Mumbai to Rameshwaram and what happens during the journey. There is a lot of romance keeping Shah Rukh in mind but it will also be a typical Rohit Shetty film with cars blowing and lots of action." HOT MODELS BIKINI PHOTO SHOOT PICTURES
Ajab Gazabb Love Music Review - Bollywood News - FamousCelebrityPicture.com
Ajab Gazabb Love, remake of Telugu hit Samna Tapakai, is one of October's promising releases, if one is to go by its fresh and engaging promos. Ajab Gazabb Love marks Jackky Bhagnani's (F.A.L.T.U) third Bollywood outing and Nidhi Subbaiah's (Oh My God) second. Arjun Rampal, Kirron Kher and Darsheel Zariwala make the supporting cast of this romantic/family comic caper. Sajid-Wajid have been roped in compose for this 4-track album (remixes excluded) while Priya Panchal, Kausar Manir and Sukhjit Thandi have penned the lyrics. Vocal talents featured in the album are that of Mika Singh and Mohit Chauhan amongst others. Boom Boom (Lip Lock) kick starts the album, a peppy and catchy dance track rendered by the incorrigible Mika Singh. It is moderate to fast paced with trendy techno beats and some English gibberish thrown in for good measure. Mika's energetic rendition of Priya's tongue-in-cheek lyrics rife with innuendo is pretty impressive. If you like Subah Hone De' (Desi Boyz) and Vacancy' (Golmaal Returns), you will love this track. If the track was not fast enough for you, the remix amps up the tempo and mixes in some complimentary beats as well. While not overly impressive, it is still listenable. Next is Tu, a melodious romantic track sung to perfection by none other than Mohit Chauhan. Sajid-Wajid employ a variety of instruments yet still manage to give you a vocally potent number. Munir's well penned lyrics only the make the track more charming. The romance continues with Sun Soniye, a duet rendered beautifully by Mohammed Irfan and Antara Mitra who embody Munir's flirtatious lyrical back-and-forth well. Sajid-Wajid once again employ a clever blend of instruments, of which the piano and strings reign supreme. The remixed version is relatively decent if you are after a fast paced version of the track but it no longer retains the playful attitude of the original. The album draws to a close with Nachde Punjabi by Dalvinder Singh. It is a typical Bhangra number with the tried and tested fusion of Punjabi instruments and urban beats. In other words, it sounds exactly like the 100 other Punjabi dance tracks. In summary, Ajab Gazabb Love proves to be a decent entertainer regardless of being a mere four-track album. The party-goers would lap by Boom Boom, romantics and soul fans will love Tu and/or Sun Soniye and if Bhangra's your jam then Nachde Punjabi does not disappoint too much. In short, do not be quick to dismiss this one. HOT MODELS BIKINI PHOTO SHOOT PICTURES
Mahek Chahal's ghost revisits Salman Khan! - Bollywood News - FamousCelebrityPicture.com
Last year, throughout Bigg Boss Season 5, megastar host Salman Khan was blamed for recommending and then being biased and partial to his so-called friend' Mahek Chahal on the reality show. Though Mahek and Salman repeatedly denied the allegations, the media seemed to be in no mood to agree. Strangely, one by one, all Wild Card entries including Akashdeep Sky Saigal, Siddharth Bhardwaj and Amar Upadhyay, plus ousted contestants like Shakti Kapoor, Vida Samadzai, Pooja Misrra and Pooja Bedi started speaking openly to the media about Salman's partiality towards Mahek. Ultimately the poor girl lost credibility, making her an unlikely contender to win the finals. Now with the launch of Bigg Boss 6, it seems the controversies claiming Salman's bias towards his so-called friends' is making a comeback. An article in Daily Bhaskar has alleged that Salman has recommended and is favouring contestant Niketan Madhok in Bigg Boss 6. The article states, "This year it is model Niketan Madhok, who is part of Salman Khan's inner circle Niketan is the second recommendation of Salman as the superstar and host of the show had put a word for model/actor Mahek Chahal too last year." (sic) When we asked Bollywood PR guru Dale Bhagwagar about what impact such allegations could have on the show's image and credibility this time, he rubbished the rumours. "Both the cases are totally different," he quipped. "Mahek was said to have rubbed people the wrong way before she went on the show," he remarked, admitting that she was even brash with him over the phone just a day before entering Bigg Boss. The PR specialist was quick to add, "Niketan seems to be a pleasant guy. Moreover, Salman Khan is a very nice human being and in all these years, I have never heard any industry person deny that." "Maybe, someone has an axe to grind with Salman and that is why such frivilous allegations are put up against him," Dale added. We hope this new rumour dies down quickly. Otherwise, we might just witness a Mahek Chahal Part 2. This year Bigg Boss Season 6 promises to be "family-friendly". The other contestants in the house are Navjot Singh Siddhu, Sana Khan, Vrajesh Hirjee, Sampat Pal Devi, Urvashi Dholakia, Aashka Goradia, Dinesh Pal Yadav, Delnaz Irani, Sapna Bhavnani, Aseem Trivedi, Rajeev Paul, Sayantani Ghosh, Karishma Kotak, Kashif Qureshi.
