Saif Ali Khan has been using real guns in Bullet Raja The newly married, Nawab saab of Bollywood Saif Ali Khan, goes real for his upcoming film Bullet Raja, which is being directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. In the film where he is playing rustic gun-wielding-bike-riding Uttar Pradesh gangster, has reportedly been using real guns for a particular sequence. As per reliable sources from production unit, "Real and fake guns were used during the shoot in Lucknow. Saif was given the real ones, as the film's setting is realistic and he looked great with the guns instead of them ending up as mere props. Most importantly, Saif knows how to use, load, and unload fire arms. He was thus extremely particular about the guns he used and the way they were handled before and after the shoot as it could be dangerous. He took all the precautionary measures and would even shout if necessary at the crew, if they weren't careful with the guns." Apart from Saif, the film will also have Sonakshi Sinha, Jimmy Shergill, Ravi Kishan, Chunky Pandey and Gulshan Grover. Saif will also match steps with Mahie Gill in an item number called Don't touch my body, which is on the lines of Omkara's hit number, Beedi Jalai Le. Quit an interesting project! 
Aamir Khan goes scuba diving in Koh Samui Thailand It's a festival season with Christmas and New Year, and being a perfect family man, Mr. Perfectionist of Bollywood, Aamir Khan has taken family on holiday to spend some quality time. The star, along with filmmaker wife Kiran Rao Khanand one year old son Azad is on 10-days vacation and flew to Koh Samui, Thailand, on December 23, to celebrate festival season on the second largest island in Thailand. Sources informed "Kiran planned the holiday to the last detail and has even managed to book a special villa on the south side of the island. The villa, part of a cluster of private luxury homes, has a forest on one side and is far from the madding crowd." From water adventures to exploring beach sides, the couple has been enjoying each part of Thailand. They have already gone scuba diving and swimming. Kiran says, "Chaweng beach is the favoured location. But we chose the quieter side of the island, because we want a genuine break from the mayhem. The intention is to take part in some water sports and have a relaxed time as against being part of the noise and revelry." Well it seems the little Khan, Azad, is becoming a frequent overseas traveller. He was stationed in Chicago with his parents for three months between August and October. Akshay Kumar to star in remake of Tamil blockbuster Ramana A few days ago it was reported that Akshay Kumar would be playing the lead in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's remake of the Tamil hit, Ramana (2002). Now it's confirmed that popular south director, M Raja, is set to helm the yet-untitled Hindi version with Akshay Kumar. And after teaming up with Prabhudheva for Rowdy Rathore, this is the second time Akki will work with a south Indian director. A source says, "It was Bhansali who suggested Raja's name. When he discussed it with Akshay, the latter was more than happy, because he is aware of Raja's super-hit record. Since then, Akshay has had a couple of meetings with Raja about the remake." Designer-turned-producer Shabina Khan, who also had jointly produced Rowdy Rathore with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is now brought the rights of Ramana. She says, "I have bought the rights of Tamil film Ramana. I will remake it in Hindi. It's a beautiful film and I believe the audience will enjoy watching the film in Hindi." "Akshay Kumar will play the lead in my film and the film will go on the floors in mid-2013," added the producer. 2002 blockbuster, Ramana was helmed by A.R. Murugadoss and starred Vijayakanth and Simran. In the remake, along with Akshay, actress like Asinand Tamannaah will be seen. The film is expected to release in middle of 2013.

Shahid Kapoor putting in efforts to learn Kannada on the sets of his next Actor Shahid Kapoor, who has been out-of-work since last one year, is nowadays busy shooting for his next film Phata Poster Nikla Hero, where he stars opposite Ileana D'Cruz. The film is directed by Rajkumar Santoshiand it is Shahid's first film after Teri Meri Kahaani, which released in the mid of this year. Currently the shooting of the film is going on in Mysore. Now the sources have learnt that Sasha has taken it up as a challenge to learn Kannada. Apparently, the actor overheard some unit hands talking in an unfamiliar language. On investigation, he found out it was Kannada and hence decided to learn the language. A source says, "Shahid is always looking to learn new things. When he heard some crewmembers speaking in an alien tongue, he wanted to know what it was. He was intrigued. He summoned them and wanted to know what language they were talking in." And now we hear that Shahid has already picked up a few basic words in the South Indian language. "He has even been interacting in Kannada with a few locals and unit members. He listens to their pronunciation very carefully," adds the source. During his off-time the actor engages the locals in conversation to learn more from them. Shahid is in the city for another 10 days. It is a tedious schedule where they have been shooting all throughout the night. Phata Poster Nikla Hero is set to release next year. 
Michael Douglas supports son in court Michael Douglas turned up in court to support his son. The 68-year-old actor : who is married to Catherine Zeta-Jones : attended his son Cameron's court hearing yesterday (19.12.12) as he appealed against the 54 extra months of prison time that were added to his current five-year sentence for narcotics distribution. The �Fatal Attraction' star told reporters outside the Manhattan courtroom the case was �on appeal� and he was �clearly' hoping for the best, according to the Youthgossip.com . Defence attorney Paul Shechtman told the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, �I'm not suggesting Cameron Douglas shouldn't be punished for this', adding that the sentence was �shockingly long' and �maybe the harshest sentence ever imposed on a federal prisoner for a drug possession offence'. Cameron's attempt to shorten his sentence comes days after being attacked in prison, where he suffered a broken leg and finger. A bounty of $100 was reportedly put on the 34-year-old actor by a New York mobster as payback for telling police who his drug suppliers were. The troubled star was only supposed to serve five years instead of 10 after doing a deal with prosecutors, but earned an extra four-and-a-half years for smuggling heroin and a prescription narcotic during his stay at the Metropolitan Correctional Centre. Cameron : whose mother is Michael's ex-wife Diandra Morrell Douglas : is currently not eligible for release until 2018.

His bandmates Marvin Humes, Oritse Williams and Aston Merrygold gave their friend the livestock as an early present and it will live on the farm J.B. bought in Kent, South East England, earlier this year. The boys can be seen presenting the animal to 26-year-old J.B. on British TV show �A Very JLS Christmas' : which will be broadcast on Sky1 this Saturday (22.12.12) : with Aston announcing: �So, J.B. you bought a farm this year and we think you might need a few things for that farm.' A sheep is then lead out wrapped in a bow, and J.B. is then presented with a tweed jacket, a flat cap and a pair of Wellington boots to look like a farmer. J.B. purchased a tractor soon after getting the land and insisted he couldn't wait to get some animals to create a genuine countryside atmosphere. He explained: �I love the outdoors. It gets me away from the city and the mayhem that comes from being in a band. �I've already got chickens. I want pigs, cows, sheep : the lot.' Putting his farmyard duties aside, the singer is planning to throw an early New Year's party for the band at the farm and their friends before each of them head off for their own celebrations to mark the start of 2013. Date issues and ever-changing shoot schedules have made the actress opt out of the Sunny Deol starrer. According to sources, "Ameesha's busy schedule for her other commitments wasn't something that the director was too happy about. Those close to him say that Anil Sharma is a self-minded person and feels that if he has signed her for the film she should be available for him whenever he needs her." However, Ameesha is known to be professional and always on time on the sets. She always adjusts dates for her producers be it for the producer of Race 2 or any other film. The actress is apparently upset with the several date changes that have been made. The delay was getting endless and when Ameesha asked the director for 2013 dates, his answer was anytime between February and April and she must keep 60 days for the film. Finding this very unprofessional, Ameesha felt its better she backed out of the film. Confirming the development Ameesha says, "Yes, I am backing out of the film due to several complications of dates and delays in the project. If I continue to be in the film it will affect the dates and planning of my other projects. I have utmost respect for Anil Sharma and I am hopeful that we will work together again sometime in future." Guess audiences have to wait bit more to watch the Gadar jodi back on big screen!

John, whose father is an architect from Aluva near the city, was taken around various installation art and painting sites at the sea-facing heritage building by fellow Mumbai kar Bose Krishna machari, Malayali co-curator of India's first Biennale. The actor said the Biennale had the capability to refine the mind of the viewer. "It is when you get to know deeper about an art that you plumb its amazing depths. I've now got the inspiration to visit more biennales across the world. I'm extremely happy to visit my native land in this kind of an occasion," he said. John said the country today required artistic endeavours like the Biennale. "I'm totally convinced that it merits major financial backing. As an artiste myself, I believe it is my responsibility to do my bit for it," he added. 
Salman Khan I approve my films final cut Actor Salman Khan has been delivering back-to-back hits in the Hindi film industry. He says after the failure of his 2010 film �Veer', he makes sure the final cut of any of his films has his approval He feels an actor's involvement in creative processes helps sometimes. 'When I put my foot down sometimes, I hope I am not taking advantage of my stardom and that's a big guilt. Eventually, what the audience first watches is only me in the poster, so I will be held responsible for everything,' Salman said here in an interaction. 'So we also have to see that in just being polite, the film doesn't go for a toss. Aamir (Khan) does it very correctly. Now I have started making it clear right in the beginning. I make sure that the final cut goes with my approval. After �Veer', I have started doing this,' he said. Salman, who wrote the story for �Veer', admits he wasn't satisfied with the final product that the film turned out to be. 'I was not happy with �Veer' when they showed me the film. I cut down the film to one hour and 55 minutes, and eventually they released the film as a two hour and 30 minute-film, which is not a done thing. They thought they will get away with that, but they didn't and I was very upset with the fact because I wrote its script and I knew if it has to be that long, then I need those 18 days of shoot because I needed the high points.' �The scale of the film was very big. So one hour and 55 minutes was a perfect length for it. Till the time it is interesting, it is fine, but the film has to hold (the audience),' he added.

Nana Patekar Says I'm a very simple and calm man Angry man Nana Patekar is all set to play renowned philanthropist Dr. Prakash Amtein upcoming film, Dr Prakash Baba Amte: The Unsung Hero, the man who left the comfortable confines of urban living to live in villages. It traces the life and works of the illustrious doctor who gave up a lucrative career abroad to devote his life and skills in the service of adivasis of Hemalkasa, a village in Gadchiroli district. It will be directed, produced and written by advocate Samrouddhi Porey, who made her mark in the film world with her debut National Award winning film Mala Aai Vhaychay that dealt with surrogate motherhood. Talking on his role and the film, Nana says, "When I got the chance to play Dr Prakash Amte in the multilingual film Dr. Prakash Amte, a real hero, I was thrilled because I have known Baba, Prakash and their entire family for decades. I would like to address the issue of farmers through my craft : my films. But, the sad part is that such films win awards, but don't get any rewards at the BO." Meanwhile, when quizzed Nana that he is playing Dr Prakash Amte, who is such a calm man, whereas he and Salman Khan are known to be the angry men of B'town, he laughingly said, "Oh, but that angry part is my screen image. I'm a very simple and calm man, but when the camera is switched on, acting begins. Please don't go by Prakash's calm image, yeh bada gussail hai! I have seen him in action at Hemalkasa!"

But now as the film is out and the promotional work is all done, sources claim that the two have taken the road to animosity. If the rumors are to be believed, the actors have started avoiding each other at public events. The cold war between the ladies has just started and as per a source, "There were cold vibes between them while promoting the film in Delhi. Aamir, who was there too, played the mediator." Source went on to add, "Talaash did well at the box-office, but Rani and Kareena's friendship soured after the reviews came out. Though Kareena had the bigger role in the film, Rani's acting garnered more appreciation. That could be one of the reasons for this." In fact, the two didn't come face to face at the recently held success party for the film. Source added, "Kareena was at the party till about 11.30 pm. And Rani walked in 10 minutes after Kareena left." Rani Mukerji's spokesperson says, "We don't know where these stories originate from. The people who were there during the filming and the promotional interviews are aware of the love and respect Rani and Kareena have for each other. Sonakshi Sinha says her mom is her biggest critic Dabangg girl Sonakshi Sinha, who has earned rave reviews for her performance in her films so far, says mother Poonam Sinha is her biggest critic. While speaking to the sources, she said, "My mum is my biggest critic and I take her opinion very seriously because I know that is one person, who is saying it only for my good and nobody else. If I could have done it much better or if the outfit is not looking good, she will tell me then and there itself. The best part is she is so honest about it. My father thinks everything I do is good only". When quizzed if she seeks her family's opinion before signing any film, Sonakshi said: "I consult my whole family before signing a film because they have been in the industry for long, so it's the logical thing to do. Arbaaz Khan says he is more thrilled than Salman Khan Arbaaz Khan, who is making his directorial debut with Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha starrer Dabangg 2, says that he is far more thrilled and excited that brother Salman. He says, "I am a little more excited than bhai (Salman Khan) because this is my first film as a director and Salman is like a veteran (actor) now. He has witnessed huge success. So he is going to be just normal, I might be a little over excited". Arbaaz Khan, who co-produces films with his wife Malaika Arora Khan, and has directed Salman Khan in Dabangg 2, feels it is easy to work with family, but it is important to maintain professionalism. He shared hit thoughts, "It becomes very easy to work with the family and there are many advantages of it. But on the set, Salman was an actor and I was a director. Salman was a superstar actor and I was a debutante director : so we maintained that equation throughout the shooting". He added, "If he had to discuss something, he did it� but it was all for the film, not to prove that �I am elder to you or I am a superstar'". Sources say that gorgeous Shilpa Shetty welcomed the 18-year-old to her house in Mumbai, and chatted with her in her lounge as part of a show Live My Life 2. Maahi has several pictures of Shilpa, and knows a lot about the actress. Right from gulping down hot water to hitting the gym, Maahi did everything that Shilpa does. Maahi even got the chance of meeting Shilpa's close friends, designer Nandita Mahtani and business associate, Kiran Bawa. Both Nandita and Kiran were more than happy to meet the girl, and they shared insights about Shilpa. Nandita is said to have gifted the girl a designer dress in Shilpa's favorite pattern and Kiran ensured that she got a hair spa treatment and styled her hair exactly like Shilpa.
